The Golf Course : Mont Garni Golf Club seduces with the horizons it allows to discover and the calm that emerges. The 18 hole course (par 73), the six approach holes, the putting green and the driving range blend harmoniously into the heart of a 150ha wooded site. The Irish architect Tom Mc Auley was careful to offer players a variety of landscapes for the pleasure of the eyes and the difficulty of the game. The 6,631m course, one of the longest in Belgium, is divided into three 6 hole built around a charismatic Club House. The first six immerse you in the woods, where nature reigns supreme. Then you find yourself facing the vastness of the plain where a wind blows reminiscent of Ireland and its famous Links. The end of the course is played in the company of centennial trees pushing the limits of your game. Transport: By Train: Mons Train station is 300 meters from the Official Hotels. By Aircraft: Brussels National Airport is a perfect option, it is approximately 75 km away and has a direct train connection Brussels Airport => Mons Train Station Brussels South (Charleroi) is at 50 km Transport to the official hotel will be provided according you announced flight details (Brussels National Airport or Brussels South/Charleroi) on the days of team arrivals, Sunday 3 September, Monday 4 September, Return on Sunday 9 September. Accommodation: The official hotels are situated near the train station of Mons. (Either Side of the train station). We will provide transportation between the Hotels and the golf Course by shuttle bus. You will notice that the official Opening Ceremony will be at the congress Hotel Van der Valk Mons. It is approximately 500m from the Ibis Hotel. All reservations must be done directly to the hotel(s). We have reserved approx. 100 rooms at Van der Valk and 40 rooms at Ibis to be sure all teams can use either hotels. Booking forms are in appendix and must be sent to the hotel.
Registration: The Team Captains are asked to register their players at the Tournament Office at the clubhouse on Sunday, 2 September between 9.00 A.M. and 5.00 P.M., or on Monday, 3 September between 8:00 A.M. and 12:00 A.M. Team Fee: The team fee amounts to Euro 1500, for 6 players and the Team Captain or Team Advisor. Each additional person accompanying the team will be charged Euro 250,. The team fee will be paid via Bank Transfer before 11 th of August. Practice Facilities Driving range, chipping and putting greens will be open one hour prior to the first starting time. Last balls will be available 30 minutes after the last player has left the course. Practice Rounds The official practice day is Monday, 3 September based on the EGA official draw for practice rounds. Manual/ Electric Trolleys Manual trolleys are available for all players. Electric Trolleys to be confirmed. Stroke Saver A stroke saver will be available for all team members upon registration.
Team Photos A photo session is scheduled on Monday, 3 September prior to the Opening Ceremony. A timetable will be found in the documents received at registration. Dress code is the official national uniform. Official Information, Tournament office The Tournament Office and Official Notice Board will be located in the Clubhouse. Ceremonies The Opening Ceremony will be held on Monday, 3 September at 7:00 P.M. at the hotel followed by a welcome party at 7:30 P.M. The Closing Ceremony and the Farewell Dinner will be held at the hotel on Saturday 8 September immediately after the end of the final round. All players, team captains, advisors, officials and guests are welcome to the Farewell Dinner. More information about the Closing Ceremony and Farewell Dinner will be published on the Official Notice Board at the Clubhouse. Lockers Lockers are not available at the Clubhouse, just showers. Golf Bag Storage To be confirmed Pigeon Holes Pigeon Holes will be situated in the Clubhouse. Golf Shop A Pro Shop is situated in the Clubhouse Anti Doping All competitors are subject to the provisions of the International Golf Federation s Anti Doping Policy. Any competitors, who are taking medication and in doubt as to their clinical status, should seek advice from the EGA Office no later than 30 days before the start of the Championship. Medical Service During the tournament, a doctor will be available on call, first aid service will be at the premises.
