Tulsa RHP Chase De Jong dealt a 7- inning shutout in game one, while the Drillers plated one in the fifth and two in the seventh for their three tallies in the win. Springfield bounced back in game two, striking with a 3B Paul DeJong RBI double in the bottom of the first for the early lead. RHP Kurt Heyer proceeded to retire all 15 batters that he faced in a row, dominating through five perfect innings in the start. Springfield added a pair of insurance runs in the bottom of the sixth, before RHP Josh Lucas slammed the door with a scoreless seventh to close the win. Flying high The Cards have been rolling through the homestand, going 5-2 through the first seven games and collecting wins in six of their last eight overall. Caldwell comes through With a two-out RBI bunt single in the sixth inning of game two yesterday, 2B Bruce Caldwell has continued to excel with runners in scoring position and two outs.
