Riverton Country Club Etiquette Guidelines Replace your divot taken from the fairway. Respect neighboring residents and yell fore if you hit a wild shot. Never hit a shot off of adjacent property. Be sensitive when retrieving a ball from adjacent property. Place trash in trash cans and pick up trash seen on the property. Leave bunkers in better condition that you found them. Follow all posted cart rules. Never jump-around between holes. Keep all four wheels of the cart on the cart path when using it. NEVER take a cart near a green or tee and avoid all low-lying areas, especially in drainage areas. Pull carts are to remain off of greens and tee boxes. Pick the right set of tees. Don't let your ego get in the way of having a good time - pick the set of tees at a yardage you can handle. Worry about the group in front of you and the pace rating and avoid the 'well no one is pushing us' mentality. If you play in 4 hours and 45 minutes, there is no way anyone behind you can play any faster if there are consecutive tee times. Remember - the correct position is behind the group in front of you, not in front of the group behind you. The pace of play rating for the course is 3 hours and 50 minutes. Failure to maintain a proper pace of play negatively impacts the experience of others. Keep your eye on the ball. Many lost balls are a result of not marking the flight with a landmark, or just plain not looking after you hit your shot. Keep score by the tee of the next hole. Fix your ball mark and one other on every green. Locker Rooms have been provided for your convenience, please refrain from changing shoes in the parking lot.

Junior Golf Certification In order for a Junior Golfer under 18 years of age to earn unsupervised, individual access to the facilities at Riverton CC they must become certified. Certification requires several steps and this process is necessary to ensure that Riverton junior golfers have demonstrated adequate golf skills, thorough knowledge of proper etiquette, and a working knowledge of the rules of golf. To achieve certified status, a junior golfer must meet the following parameters: The junior must be at least 10 years old and a full golf or junior individual member. The junior golfer must shoot a score of 55 (male) or 60 (female) or better from the red tees for 9 holes. The junior must pass a written rules & etiquette test. The junior must pass a live rules & etiquette test (administered when they attempt the playing portion of certification). Juniors must notify the golf shop that they are attempting certification prior to teeing off. Juniors attempting certification must have someone approved by the Golf Committee serve as a marker during their round. A junior may only attempt the playing portion of the certification process once every two weeks. Please remember that the certification process is stringent in order to ensure that our junior golfers are properly prepared to enjoy facility privileges. Additionally, the process will help us develop players who are fully cognizant of the responsibilities that come with being a RCC junior golfer. Juniors are held to the same standard of etiquette and behavior as adults privileges will be reviewed and may be revoked for any breach of the dress code, playing regulations, practice facility regulations, golf cart usage guidelines, quality of play parameters, phone usage rules, care of the course guidelines, and the like. Certified juniors will be permitted to play in any non-primary member times as long as there are no other players waiting to tee off. Uncertified juniors will still be able to enjoy the golf course; however, they must be accompanied by an adult at all times. With the exception of Junior Golf events, no uncertified juniors are permitted on the course before 1pm on weekends and holidays. Children under the age of two are not permitted on the course at any time, even if accompanied by an adult.
