2017 CLUB INFORMATION Chukars Baseball In Review Baseball has been played in Idaho Falls since the early 1900 s. After many name changes through the years, the Idaho Falls Padres formally became the Idaho Falls Chukars in 2004. Additionally, the Chukars also became the new proud affiliate of the Kansas City Royals. Ownership The Idaho Falls Chukars, owned by David G. Elmore, are a member of the Elmore Sports Group. The Elmore Sports Group is one of America's most dynamic leadership companies that includes professional sports teams and a wide variety of affiliated companies. Industries represented include entertainment, travel, sports marketing, facilities management and special events management. Melaleuca Field Since 2007, Melaleuca Field has been the proud home to not only the Idaho Falls Chukars, but to local high school and American Legion teams that also share the facility. The 3,600 seat facility was named the 2008 Ballpark Digest Stadium of the Year, and was selected as the 2015 Ballpark Digest Rookie League Ballpark of the Year. 2
