The Permasert coupling exceeds the requirements of EN 1555-3 and EN 682. Thrust washer: Provides even distribution of force on the collet. Support ring: Stainless steel ring moulded into body of coupling for added strength and support of gripping collet. Zinc-plated steel insert stiffener guarantees proper alignment and adds support. Moisture and dirt seal: Prevents intrusion of dust, dirt and moisture. Conical clampring prevents pipe pull-out. The G459-1-B process sheet (supplementary sheet to DVGW G 459-1 process sheet) requires the installation of an automatically closing component (e.g. excess flow valve) inside the house service connection. PSI Mechanical Couplings - System Permasert Products/Components The non-corrosive blind end caps and blind end stubs safely shut off gas distribution or the end of a service line. Blind end stubs can shut off gas distribution permanently while the functional blind end caps at the blind end are equipped with Permasert components so that the gas line can be reconnected at a later date by simply removing the cap. Permasert blind end stubs and blind end caps are some of the most frequently requested mechanical couplings because they enable extraordinary cost savings and a maximum of reliability compared with other methods of service line cut-offs. PSI Mechanical Couplings - System Permasert DVGW reg. no.: DG-7521BS0052 Appropriate for PE pipes in accordance with DVGW process sheet GW335-A2 (PE 80 MOP 4 / PE 100 MOP 10 SDR 11* 11) following VP 600 Installation Instruction Clean pipe with a clean dry cloth. Inspect the PE pipe for damages. Cut PE pipe square after inspection of PE pipe for damages (grooves, cracks). If there are any damages cut another piece of the pipe to remove the defective area. In case of surface damages of the PE pipe, the PE pipe sealing area can be machined with a rotating scraper. The limit of the machined PE pipe must not be underrun in accordance with the DVGW process sheet GW 335-A2; it must be observed. Use Perfection chamfering tools or equivalent tools to obtain a correct, tapered chamfer of the outer diameter. This chamfer enables insertion of the pipe without problems and without damaging the seals. Use a soft felt pen, a pencil or wax crayon to mark the stab depth. The stab depth of all Permasert couplings is the distance between the edge of the skirt and the end of the Permasert coupling. Insert the PE pipe (SDR 11) in the Permasert coupling up to the stab mark. The pipe must be inserted in the coupling up to the stop. Carry out normal pressure testing at the connection. The reference marks can move several mm to the exterior during the pressure test. Note: This product must be mounted by trained personnel. Permasert is an Elster Perfection registered trade mark

PSI Mechanical Repair Couplings - System Permasert Appropriate for PE pipes in accordance with DVGW process sheet GW335-A2 (PE 80 MOP 4 / PE 100 MOP 10 SDR 11) Installation Instruction Select the appropriate repair coupling depending on the length of the damaged pipe section and mark the length of the area to be repaired. Cut the damaged pipe section (observe warning note on the fitting) with the PE scissors or an equivalent cutter so that the ends are flat. Mark the stab depth at the corresponding distance from the chamfered ends with a soft felt pen, a pencil or a wax crayon. The stab depth can be determined by measuring the distance from the end of the coupling to the second welded seam at the end of the coupling provided with the warning note. Mark the short end of the coupling at the other end of the pipe to the first welded seam. First slide the end of the coupling provided with the warning note onto the pipe up to the stop. Pull back the repair coupling to the end of the other pipe and slide it onto the pipe up to the stop. Test connection for tightness. In doing so, proceed according to our standard process instruction. The reference marks can move several mm to the exterior during the pressure test. This pipe section must not display any grooves, cracks or other damages. In case of surface damages of the PE pipe, the PE pipe sealing area can be machined with a rotating scraper. The limit of the machined PE pipe must not be under-run in accordance with the DVGW process sheet GW 335-A2; it must be observed. Wet lower O-ring and pipe surface with soap solution or the like (as used e.g. for tightness tests). Mount tapping tee to PE pipe. In doing so, tighten screws crosswise until both flange halves are in contact at the four corners (a gap between both halves in the area of the guide pin is permitted). Connect house service connection of PE 80, PE 100 to Permasert coupling of the tee (upper half of the body) according to the Permasert coupling installation instructions. Test tightness of connection between pipe and tee in accordance with own rules. Place supplied spacer on cutter. Thread cutter downward using appropriate hexagon socket wrench (8 mm) until firmly seated. In doing so, a disc is cut from the pipe and permanently held in the cutter. The tapping diameter is 14 or 20 mm depending on the construction. When the spacer is flush with the top of the tee the tapping process is finished. Max. volume flow 6.0 m3/h at 25 mbar, inlet pressure based on 14 mm tapping and d32 outlet. Note: This product must be mounted by trained personnel. Thread cutter upward (counter clockwise) until the top of the cutter is flush with the top of the body. In doing so, the house service connection is supplied with gas (spacer comes out).
