SUMMARY CONTINENTAL DEVELOPMENT MANAGER DEBRIEF Our wish is to harmonize all our projects under the ETTU development programs as much as possible with current requirements that determine all our efforts in bringing future value and quality of our young players to the level of best Asian players (mostly from China and Japan). This is why, last year, we launched two of our new projects, namely ETTU NA's Assistance Program and the U-17 Program. They were well-accepted and they were based on our hopes and the fact that, after a long time, our young players (junior category players) won 6 medals on the previous two WJC (Cape Town / Riva del Garda) and were equally matched in terms of quality with the best Asian players. However, the fact is that the total number of our selected players is significantly lower than the number of players available to our Asian competitors. Therefore, we have decided to direct all of our development programs in the ETTU towards, not only identifying and selecting young players or supporting their development activities, but to significantly improving the number and quality of our educational programs. The reason for this is a well-known fact that all of our young players, who are amongst the best in Europe, are mainly coached by very young (still not well-known) coaches, who are very motivated, but they still lack expert knowledge and experience. Therefore, we have decided to additionally expand our educational programs, which we are implementing in cooperation with all members of the ETTU. In addition, it is our pleasure to point out that all our Development programs in 2018 include a total of 26 programs in several development areas (Eurotalents TI&S, Development Camps U-13, Development Camps U-17, Hopes Selection Camp, Education Program Woman Coaches Seminar, Annual Coaching Conference, World Cadet Challenge, ETTU NA's Assistance Program). Regarding the realization of all our programs, our wish is to achieve even better results in the near future and within the framework of an equal annual planned budget. ETTU Development Manager Neven Cegnar, prof. Page 3
