We will have coffee, hot chocolate and apple cider! The Entry Fee to the parade is a minimum of 5 canned goods to be dropped off at the Realty Center the morning of the Parade! Feel free to decorate your cart anyway you would like go all out, play music, throw candy the more creative the better! Santa will lead the parade all the way to the Clubhouse where we will vote and prizes will be given to the best and most creative carts! Even if you don t have a Golf Cart, come out and enjoy the fun with us or watch from your front porch as all the Carts go by! Brunch with Santa will immediately follow the Parade at the Clubhouse. We will be serving a Brunch Buffet from and reservations MUST be made. You must be a Club Member to have Brunch following the parade. We are looking forward to making this an annual Christmas event for Black Creek Club & Community!
COURSE COMMUNICATIONS While the never-ending summer of 2018 persisted well into October with temperatures and precipitation well above average, it now seems as though we skipped Autumn altogether and the chill of winter has arrived to stay. Only 5 weeks ago we were mowing fairways at a rate like we had never seen before in the month of October. But a much-cooler-than average November quickly sent our Bermudagrass into dormancy and we will soon turn our attention toward making improvements on the course during the next few months. Our main focus this winter will be restoring contours around the edges of our greens. These raised areas are affectionately known as collar dams and are the result of accumulated topdressing sand. Not only do these areas adversely affect playability, but they also impede surface drainage from the green and our ability to effectively mow and manage a very important part of the golf course. The only way to correct is to strip sod, regrade, and replace the sod on the renovated area. As we begin this procedure in January, please be aware that we will need to close individual holes while we perform the repairs. Between now and January, we ask that you bear with us. We often have a very small crew during late December/ early January as much of our staff takes their vacation time during the holidays. We are extremely fortunate that they understand the seasonal nature of the golf industry and they rarely take personal time during busier times of the year. The Golf Shop will have some fun and awesome deals going on from 6:00-8:00! Brunch with Santa Saturday, December 15 ~ Santa Claus and is coming to Black Creek Saturday, December 15th following the Golf Cart Parade! The Take n Bake Christmas dinners include turkey and ham with all the traditional fixin s, AND dessert for six people. Orders can be placed starting December 1st through Thursday, December 20th by NOON!. Orders will be available for pick-up on Sunday, December 24th from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM. 2018 Winter Par 3 Tournament Saturday, December 8 11:00 am Shotgun Start Join us as we put a bow on the 2018 golf season with our 4th Annual Winter Par 3 Tournament. Sean and Jordan have designed 18 par 3 holes that will require skilled shot making, team work and a whole lot of hot chocolate! Each two person team will be placed in a flight based on handicap and the holes will be played in multiple formats including, scrambles, alternate shot, best ball, and worst ball to name a few. The entry fee is $25.00 per player and this includes prizes, hot hands and hot chocolate. This is sure to be an awesome day of golf and good times so please call the golf shop to sign up, 822-2582. Golf Shop Holiday Sale! Thursday, December 6th 6:00PM-9:00PM During the Black Creek Club Member Christmas Party on Thursday, December 6th the Golf Shop will be having our Annual Christmas Sale. Everyone attending will receive an envelope when they check in for the party. Inside that envelope will be a card with the discount you will receive off your purchase in the Golf Shop. The catch is you are not able to open the envelope until you have taken all of your items to the counter for purchase. Additional Sale incentives will be available throughout the evening as well!
