PLAYER S GUIDE
Introducing the SkyCaddie SGX W The SkyCaddie SGX W Players Guide covers some of the powerful features of the SGX W so that you can start playing golf with the SkyCaddie right away. Your SGX W comes preloaded with basic green information (front, center, back distances) for up to 30,000 of our ground-verified courses for 30 days. You may choose to play any of these courses for 30 days, or wirelessly download and play up to 10 advanced feature course maps for 30 days using the built-in Wi-Fi capability of the SGX W.* After the 30-day trial period, you will need to have a SkyCaddie Membership to continue to play with the basic green courses or the advanced feature course maps. Advanced feature courses include Interactive HoleVue, IntelliGreen, IntelliGreen Pro and RangeVue. For more information related to the Advanced Feature Course trial using Wi-Fi, please refer to the enclosed SGX W Wi-Fi Quick Start Guide. STEP 1 Power on the SGX W Power button Press and hold the Center Button to turn the SkyCaddie SGX W on.
STEP 2 Select Play Golf To start a round, use the trackpad to highlight Play Golf on the Main Menu and press the Right Key beneath OK to select it.
STEP 3 Wait for Satellite Signal The SGX W will take a few minutes to get a signal, to determine your location and nearest course.
STEP 4 Course & Hole Selection The SGX W will auto-select the course and hole that you are on. Verify the course and hole and select OK to play.
STEP 5 Interactive HoleVue Interactive HoleVue with Zoom will appear, displaying the true image of the hole.* Distances and views will auto update as you walk down the fairway, or as you move the cursor to any point on the hole. * HoleVue available only on Advanced Feature course maps. STEP 6 Marking Shot Distance To mark shot distance, press the Mark Ball button before you take your shot, then confirm. The distance from that mark will show on the upper-right corner of the HoleVue screen. When you arrive where the ball landed, it will show the total shot distance.
STEP 7 RangeVue Preset yardage arcs adjust dynamically over fairway landing areas and over greens to allow you to select the best club for every shot much more quickly. Press the Info button to turn RangeVue ON or OFF. * RangeVue available only on Advanced Feature course maps. See www.skygolf.com for course and feature availability.
STEP 8 AutoView Technology AutoView allows you to easily switch among the most common play screens Interactive HoleVue, IntelliGreen and the Digital Scorecard with just a simple turn of the wrist.* Turn the device to the right to see the IntelliGreen and turn the device to the left to see your Scorecard. * You must have a SkyCaddie membership and have already downloaded an Advanced Feature course map to the SGX W in order to view the Interactive HoleVue and IntelliGreen. STEP 9 IntelliGreen Pro Intelligreen Pro shows you the true shape of the green, automatically rotating to match your angle of approach. It shows front carry, back distances, depth of green, and distances to any other point on the green. This feature also displays major green contours and greenside hazards. Press the Center Key (Power Button) to unlock the target cursor. Use the Optical Trackpad to move the crosshairs to get a custom distance on the green.
STEP 10 Entering Score For a Hole With scoring turned on, the SkyCaddie will display the Scorecard at the end of each hole. To enter your score for that hole, press the Left Key beneath Edit. By default, the SGX W displays par for the hole. Slide your finger left or right over the Trackpad to adjust the number of shots and putts taken. You may also select whether your shot hit the fairway or missed it (i.e. missed left or missed right). Select Done with the Right Key when finished.
STEP 11 Viewing the Scorecard You may view your entire Digital Scorecard on the SGX W during play by turning it to the left. Alternatively, you can press the Menu button to display the Mini-Menu, then highlight Scorecard and press the Right Key to select it to view the scorecard in portrait view. The Scorecard shows the Pars and Handicaps for each hole, plus the scores you entered. Use the Trackpad to highlight any hole you wish to edit then press the Left Key beneath Edit to edit your score.
STEP 12 Post-Round Activities Upload Your Scores to ClubSG Golf s fastest growing online community is the place to store your game data, track key stats, analyze your strengths and weaknesses, learn about courses, discover if your equipment is helping or hurting your game and share your experiences with other golfers. Share Scores Via Facebook and Twitter Did you shoot a new career best? Or record your first ace? Share your experience on the course with friends and family using Facebook and Twitter. Remember to Charge Your SkyCaddie Recharging your SkyCaddie SGX W after every round ensures that your device is ready to play when you are!
