OFFICIAL INVITATION AND ANNOUNCEMENT Closing date 18 th March 2016 ad 23.59 hrs KunstschaatsVereniging Hoorn (KVH) from the Netherlands is pleased to announce the first Spring-on-Ice competition, an international figure skating competition for single skating in following categories, available for Boys & Girls: Starters A, B, C Pupillen A, B, C Aspiranten A, B, C Midi s, Maxi s Mini s Pre Basic Novice A, Pre Basic Novice B, Pre Basic Novice C Basic Novice A, Basic Novice B, Basic Novice C Advanced Novice, Advanced Novice B, Advanced Novice C Junior, Junior B Senior This invitation and announcement has been sent to several figure skating associations in several countries. The competing skaters will skate a free program. The categories Advanced Novice, Junior and Senior will skate a short and a free program. The competition will take place in two days. PLACE AND DATE The competition will be held on the 23rd and 24 th April 2016. All competition events will take place at the figure skating ice rink (60x30 meters) at Icerink De Westfries, Hoorn, The Netherlands. CLOSING DATE OF ENTRY The 27 th March 2016 ad 23.59 hrs ACCREDITATION Will be possible on Saterday 23rd April from 07.30 hrs on, at the ice rink. PRACTICE SESSION There are two practice sessions available, for international entries only, on Thursday 21th of April and Friday 22nd of April from 12:00 15.30 hrs. Please contact us by mail, secretaris@kvhoorn.nl, if you would like to subscribe a skater. Practice sessions are only available by subscription. Payment is by cash in advance of the practice session at the entrance of the ice rink, cost 15,-- pro hour, pro skater, with a maximum of 10 skaters on the ice at the same time. DRAW Will be held for all categories on the 8 th of April 2016 at 18.15 hrs on icerink De Westfries, Hoorn, The Netherlands. Fair draw by hand will be done by any present competitors and/or members of the organizing skating club.

TIME TABEL Will be made available on the website as soon as possible after the closing date, and send by mail to the competitors. Changes may occur due to technical requirements of the judging system and/or exceeding number of entries. JUDGES AND/OR TECHNICAL SPECIALIST For international entries: please inform the organizing committee in case you are considering adding a judge and/or technical specialist to the competition. If so the KNSB will be informed. GENERAL REGULATIONS The competition will be conducted in accordance with ISU Regulations 2015, and all recent communications for figure skating. All categories abide to regulations according to the ISU judging system and will be judged as such. All competitors must be eligible persons in accordance with ISU rule 103 and must meet the participation, citizenship and residency requirements in ISU rule 109 and communication no. 117. All skaters who do not have nationality of the member by which they have been entered or who, although having such nationality, have in the past represented another member must produce an ISU clearance certificate. COMPETITION MUSIC Only CD s are accepted (no re-writable CD or mp3). The recording must be of good quality and the CD labelled clearly with the name of competitor, category and skating club/country abbreviations. A copy of the CD must be handed in at the accreditation desk anywhere in between arrival up to preferably one hour before the start of the skater s category. The CD quality cannot be tested beforehand, therefore a second copy should always be available for technical staff in case a technical issue should arise during the competition. PRIZES A trophy will be given to all winning competitors. The protocol will be uploaded on to the homepage immediately after the closing of the competition. Club members or coaches are allowed to collect trophies that belong to participants that were forced to leave early before completion of the victory ceremony. ACCOMMODATION AND TRANSPORTATION Accommodation as well as transportation from and to the ice rink has to be organized by the participant. However, please feel free to contact our organizing committee with any questions. Enclosed you will also find a document with hotel, motel, camping recommendations.

LIABILITY The organizing committee holds no liability for injuries or damage sustained by competitors on any competition day and during the available practice sessions. LIMITATIONS The organization committee reserves the right to limit the entries.
