GREEN JERSEY At ASOM, we like to support the Usain Bolt s in orienteering, that s why we added a green jersey to ASOM. The idea is simple: Every course (except Elites, Youth -12 and HYERVET) will have 2 legs which are EXACTLY the same. 1 leg during the course The control at the start of the leg is a green statue runner (see picture). You won t know in advance which leg on the course this will be. The finish of the green leg is when you punch the next control. The finish (also called Schnitzel) will count as the second leg, this is from the last control to the double circle on the map (= finish) There will only be one ranking for men and one ranking for women (but we made sure that everybody with a good speed can win, so just go for it!). The times of the 2 legs will be added up. After each race, a standing will be made up, and the leader after two sprint legs in the men and the women race will receive a GREEN Jersey which they should wear during the next race. If, after 3 races, there is a shared first place, a special Sprint race in the arena will decide the winner. The winner in men and women will receive a prize INK JERSEY The leaders in each category will receive a INK jersey which they should wear during the ASOM competition. The winner after all three stages can keep the jersey. GREEN INK JERSEY AGE 22 AGE 23

UNCHING SYSTEM CONTROL DESCRITION The SORTident AIR+ punching system will be used. Control descriptions can be found on the map and at the start (min 2 ). The organization provides a SIAC for all competitors (even if you have a SIAC yourself). REGISTRATION DESK A bag with all your information (SIAC, number bib, ) will be available at the registration desks at all events. NUMBER BIBS The number bibs, provided by the organization, are obligatory to wear on the chest during the race. At Sprint 2 there will be special number bibs for the chasing start in the Elite courses. They will be available at the start. AGE 24 AGE 25

SERVICES There will be toilets at all the competition centres but there won t be showers. There won t be toilets at the start! There will be water, sportdrinks, fruit and snacks at the finish. COMLAINTS Within 15 minutes after publication of the official results, any complaints should be handed over to the event office. The complaints need to be written on paper. The jury for ASOM will consist of the following members: The bar at the competition centre will serve several drinks, salad baguettes... Saturday from 18h00 Yannicko Michilso will serve you a homemade spaghetti for only 10! Nick Campbell Great Britain Didier Groshens France Edi Ocvrik - Croatia IOF EVENT ADVISOR FOR WRE Karl Keuppens AGE 26 AGE 27

SAFETY SECTATORS Every participant is responsible for his own safety during the competition. The courses cross several roads with some traffic. lease, be very careful when crossing roads! At some road crossings there will be ASOM officials guiding the traffic. The runners are obligated to follow the officials instructions! ABANDONING THE RACE In case of abandoning the race, the competitor must immediately go to the finish area to read-out his/her SIAC. ASOM 2018 has 130 Elite runners at the start: 80 men and 50 women. Some of them are the worlds best as we have 10 runners of the top 30 at the start. The running times of the Elites on Saturday are completely seperated from the rest. On Saturday morning there is a world ranking event and the best runners will start from 11h30. In the afternoon from 15h30 to 16h30 there will be a chasing race with several spectator controls at the event centre. We hope this encourages many orienteers to cheer for them during their race and see the best at work. AGE 28 AGE 29

LOTTERY Competitors participating in all three races during the ASOM weekend will automatically participate in a lottery, organized right after the race on Sunday.
