Rules and Guidelines for Parents and Children We are extremely excited to have the opportunity to teach your children how to swim. We know how important it is for children to develop skills and safety in the water. In order to teach your children as best we can in the short amount of time we have with them each day, we kindly ask all parents to wait in the lobby during swim lessons. If you re a member of the gym you may workout during this time if you d like. The reason we ask this of you is because parents can be distracting for children and we need their attention on us and our instruction the entire 40 minutes of class, not on parents standing on the pool deck. We would love for you to come check out the last 5 minutes and watch them wrap up class each day. This is also a great time to talk with the instructors about how your child is progressing. Thank you in advance for helping us focus your child s attention on our instruction. Parents must walk their children to the pool and sign them in. Parents must also walk to the pool and sign them out. Please do not drop your child off from the parking lot and let them run through the building unsupervised. Children will not be allowed to participate in the lesson unless a parent has signed them in, and children will not be allowed to leave after the lesson until the parent that brought them signs them out. Children may shower off after lessons as long as a parent is supervising. Children under the age of 13 cannot enter the showers unsupervised. Children 5 years and older cannot enter locker rooms of the opposite sex! If you cannot supervise your child in the shower area, there are two showers on the pool deck that are available for you to use. Parents are not allowed to leave the building for any reason during swim lessons in case of an emergency. While we strive to provide the safest environment possible, accidents and injuries can and do happen, such as slips, falls, bumped heads, and potty accidents. When these accidents occur, we need to be able to quickly find the child s parent in the building. Thank you for your cooperation! Additional Information All lessons are held in our indoor, heated saltwater pool. Pool is 4 feet deep everywhere. There is no deep end. Children may want to wear goggles or a swim cap. You can bring your own from home or purchase them from our Pro Shop located by the front desk. Swim diapers must be worn by any child that is not yet fully potty trained. Health Plus reserves the right to change, add, combine, or cancel classes based on enrollment. See Next 2 Pages For All Summer Sessions, Classes, & Times
