PECTTOR PRKIG The actual paved stadium parking lot on the south side of parks can accommodate 120 cars. There is curbside parking on surrounding streets or in the Puyallup Fair Red Lot immediately adjacent to parks tadium on the south side of the facility. Tailgating is not allowed on Puyallup D property nor on Washington tate Fair property. TEM BU PRKIG Teams arriving in a bus will be sent directions about parking on the home or visitor side of the stadium. DMIITRTOR UPERVIIO Each school should have an administrator or designee on site to supervise and assist with crowd control. Please enter the names of the supervisors on the tournament information pages located on the WI website. The names of the supervisors will be placed on a pass list. Only those supervisors, whose names appear on the pass list, will be allowed free entry. Once on site, the head supervisor should check in with the tournament manager. COCEIO The concession stands will be operated by the Puyallup chool District and are located behind the outh Grandstand ETIG Home school will sit in the ET half of the outh grandstands (see page 6 of this packet). tudent seating will be in the section immediately ET (and adjacent) to the center section of the outh grandstand. Locker rooms are for team use only. There are no public restrooms available in the locker rooms. 3
IDELIE & TEM BECH Both team benches will be placed on the ME sideline (orth side of the stadium) and on the TRCK urface. Only participants (coaches, players, managers, and trainers) will be allowed on the field. ll Fans are restricted to the outh Grandstand. Benches are separated by 10 yards and off the turf. Fourth (4 th ) Registered occer Official is placed at a table between the benches to assist in ubstitution and Bench Control. Home team (bottom team on the bracket) will warm up on the East end of the field and occupy the ET TEM BECH. VIITOR will use the north grandstand locker room (under the visitor grandstand). If a team will have a team physician and/or athletic trainer in attendance, please complete the WI form and present it to the tournament manager upon arrival at the site. The tournament medical authority will make the final determination regarding return to play. PRE-GME CHEDULE Pre-game warm up will be a minimum of 15 minutes. If time allows, teams will be given up to 20 minutes of pre-match warm up time. The stadium scoreboard clock will be set to go to 0:00 five minutes prior to the start time of the match: t 0:00 teams line up at their respective team benches for International March Out March Out to main grandstand side hash marks, and introduction of officials Team introductions, as follows: o Visiting team reserves, starters, and coaches o Home team - reserves, starters, and coaches o When announced, individuals should step out and acknowledge their introduction Teams turn to face the merican flag on the West end of the field. The ational nthem will be sung or played before each match. Teams face each other and advance to midfield to shake hands before returning to their bench Match begins WRD cademic tate Champions The soccer team with the highest team grade point average in each WI classification will be presented a plaque in recognition of academic achievement. If one of the teams in the tournament is a recipient, the presentation will take place prior to the aturday game during team introductions. If the recipient is not a tournament participant, the presentation will take place during half time of the championship match for their classification. Participation Certificates ll participants in the state tournament will receive participation certificates. These certificates will be mailed to each schoolboy the WI Office. Trophies Trophies will be awarded to all teams, 1st through 4th. The trophies will be presented at the conclusion of each match on aturday. WI traveling trophy will also be presented to the championship team. BLL ll WI tournament matches require the team to use the palding TF 5000. The WI will be providing the tournament soccer game balls. BRCKET The soccer tournament brackets are available on the WI website www.wiaa.com. n up-dated bracket will be displayed on-site, and will be presented to the champion of each classification as part of the post-game awards ceremony. CLOCK The official time will be kept on the field by the center official. The stadium clock is unofficial. TIOL THEM The ational nthem will be played prior to each game as part of the team introductions. CROWD COTROL ecurity and site supervisors will be provided. Crowd control is the responsibility of the participating school supervisors. It is important that building administrators provide game supervision in the stands by promoting a safe enjoyable event for everyone. Please remind students to wear shirts, to observe the stadium policy of no body or face paint, no masks, and to observe the WI Tournament policy. If an issue with one of your students arises we will ask you to address it. 5
F D TUDET PECTTOR The tournament manager will assign each participating school a rooting section. The supervision of this section will be the responsibility of the school. pectators are not allowed on the playing field at any time, and are required to stay behind the fenced areas at all times. BLL HOLDER The site manager may provide ball holders behind each goal. lternate soccer balls will be placed at strategic locations on the sidelines. HLF TIME ITERMIIO The half time intermission shall be 10 minutes. LODGIG listing of motels is available on request. MTCH RULE FIF RULE will be used in all tate playoff games with WI published exceptions. The method of breaking ties will be as follows: Two (2) golden goal (5) minute overtimes. coin toss shall be held prior to the first overtime as per Law 8. t the end of the first overtime period, teams shall change ends. If still tied at the end of the second overtime, penalty kicks will decide the outcome. The head referee shall choose the goal at which all of the kicks from the penalty mark shall be taken. Each coach will select five (5) players, including the goalkeeper, only players who are on the field of play at the end of the match are eligible take the kicks. coin toss shall be held with the winning team having choice of kicking first or second. Teams will alternate kickers. There is no follow up on the kick. The defending team may change goalkeepers with an eligible player prior to each penalty kick. Following the five (5) kicks, the team scoring on the greatest number of kicks shall be declared the winner. If the score remains tied, each coach shall select five (5) different players than the first five to take kicks until one team has scored a goal more than the other from the same number of kicks. OFFICIL Four (4) WO certified soccer officials will be assigned to each match. Officials are selected by their association to work at this tournament and are assigned by the WI. The officials will be head referee and two assistant referees along with a fourth official who acts as the timer and scorer. Official assessors may also be assigned. The assessor will provide the WI with an independent evaluation of the tournament as a WI event. PICTURE The WI has contracted orthwest ports Photography to be the official photographer for the state tournaments. photographer will take a team picture approximately one hour before your team s first match on Friday. One complimentary 8 x10 picture will be given to the school. Players will be able to order additional copies. PRE-MTCH OFFICIL' D COCH MEETIG The tournament manager will meet with the participating schools head coaches one hour before their school s designated first match on Friday. The agenda will include: introductions, medical aspects, warm up procedures, pre-match procedures (including introductions, starting time, tie-breaker procedures, review rule issues, instruction for sideline ball holders, games committee, sportsmanship, and other items of interest). o meeting will be held on the second day. 6
PRE-MTCH UPERVIIO MEETIG The event manager may meet and review supervisor expectations and issue supervisory passes at a meeting with the schools head supervisors 30 minutes prior to the specified first match starting time for that team. radio may be checked out to the head supervisor of each team. The supervisory list is limited to two (2) supervisors. upervisors are required to sit in the student section representing their school and assume the responsibility of maintaining a sportsmanlike atmosphere during and after the match, until teams and spectators have dispersed. ll spectators must remain behind the fenced areas of the playing field. o spectators are allowed on the sidelines or playing field before or after the match. ll spectators are expected to display respect and good sportsmanship at this school event. WI regulations for spectators will be enforced. pectators must adhere to the directives of tournament staff. DUTIE OF CHOOL UPERVIOR Report to the tournament manager at least 30 minutes prior to their team s first match. Must wear supervisor identification so that it is visible and easily seen. it with your school s student body and fans while your team is competing.
