Sulbaran (No. 12), OF Ryan LaMarre (No. 14), 2B Henry Rodriguez (No 17) and LHP Donnie Joseph (No. 27) compose the rest of the top talent according to the publication...montgomery s roster consists of three of the Rays top 30 prospects according to Baseball America, including two in the top five...inf Hak-Ju Lee (No. 2) is the top position prospect in the Tampa Bay system, while RHP Alex Colome returns to the Biscuits to begin the 2012 campaign. WHAT HAPPENED LAST YEAR: Last year s Reds Double-A affiliate, the Carolina Mudcats, finished with a 53-86 mark, which was fifth in the Southern League North Division...OF Denis Phipps led the club with a.328 batting average in his 82 games played...inf Neftali Soto led the club and tied for the league lead with 30 HR, and also led the Mudcats with 76 RBI...15 players from this year s club return to the Double-A level...among returning players, INF Henry Rodriguez owned the best batting average from Carolina in 2011 with a.302 clip in 69 games...other returners include pitchers Justin Freeman, Tim Gustafson, Donnie Joseph, Curtis Partch, Josh Ravin and Pedro Villarreal, catcher Mark Fleury, infielders Mike Costanzo, Brodie Greene, Did Gregorius and Miguel Rojas, along with outfielders Josh Fellhauer, Ryan LaMarre and Cody Puckett. DYER: The righty spent the entire 2011 season with Double-A Montgomery, compiling a 7-11 record and 4.47 ERA in 28 starts... Dyer led the Biscuits in innings pitched last year with 157.0...The Colorado native had three outings against Carolina in 2011, accumulating a 2-1 record and 3.50 ERA (7 ER in 18.0 IP)...Earned the victory in his last start against the Mudcats on 8/28 after relinquishing just one earned run on only four hits in 6.1 innings of work...suffered the loss in his final start of the 2011 season Sept. 3 despite allowing three earned runs on six hits in seven frames...in four starts in the month of April last year, the righthander owned a 1-0 record and 3.20 ERA (7 ER in 19.2 IP)...Struggled in the second half of last season, owning a 3-9 mark and 5.31 ERA (48 ER in 81.1 IP) in 14 games after accumulating a 4-2 record and 3.57 ERA (30 ER in 75.2 IP) in his first 14 starts of 2011. VILLARREAL: Between High-A Bakersfield and Double-A Carolina, the right-hander accumulated an 11-7 record and 4.39 ERA (73 ER in 149.2 IP) in 27 starts...the Texas resident owned a 4-1 record and 3.10 ERA (10 ER in 29.0 IP) in five starts last season...tied for second among all Reds minor league pitchers last season in wins, while also ranking ninth in ERA...Led Double-A Carolina in wins with seven despite starting at that level in late May...Earned the victory in his Double-A debut on May 30 against Jacksonville, yielding just five hits in six scoreless frames...in two outings versus Montgomery last year, the 24 year-old compiled a 2-0 mark and 1.80 ERA (3 ER in 15 IP)...Fired a nine-inning complete game on on Aug. 14 vs. Montgomery, allowing just two earned runs on only four hits. MEET THE NEW BOSS: Pensacola manager Jim Riggleman will be at the helm for the Blue Wahoos first season...the skipper has piloted four different Major League Clubs in his coaching career, including the San Diego Padres (1992-94), Chicago Cubs (1995-99), Seattle Mariners (2008) and the Washington Nationals (2009-11)...Combined, the 59 year-old has won over 650 games at the Major League level...riggleman began his coaching career at the Double-A level with Arkansas in 1981...Has managed four different Miinor League teams, including High-A St. Petersburg (1983-84), Double-A Arkansas (1985-88) and Shreveport (1988), as well as Triple-A Las Vegas (1991-92).
