Teams MUST be USA Softball (ASA) registered and submit a tournament roster prior to participating. Players that are participating but are not on your team roster prior to the start of your first game are considered illegal players. f there is a protest/roster check and you have illegal players playing on your team it will be an automatic forfeit. Your team will also be subject to disqualification for the remainder of the tournament. (Decision ' will be made by TD & UC). 2. A player can be on only one Coed USA Softball (ASA) tournament roster within a division. Three (3} pick-up player:; arc allowed and MUST be submitted to and approved by tournament directors PROR to your first gamc t There arc no late pickups due to injury or players leaving, NO ACCEPT!ONS! 3. Line-up card required at pre-game captain's meeting with umpire. Teams may play with 9 players with an out taken in 10th spot of batting order. 4. Home team detennined by coin flip. (Championship Game- Home team is the undefeated team, F game will be coin flip.) 5. Game start time is forfeit time. 6. Bats MUST be USA Softball (ASA) approved. 7. Each batter shall assume a one-bah, one-strike count upon entering the batter's box. One () courtesy foul ball allowed. 8. The pitcher may pitch from the pitching plate or from an area the width of the plate and up to six (6) feet behind the plate. 9. A pitched ball must be delivered with a perceptible arc and reach a height of at least six (6) feet from the ground while not exceeding a height of ten ( 0) feet from the ground. 11. Home Run Limits: UpperlMlddle/Lower/BOW - Progressive: Any over-the-fence HR exceeding the limit will result in an out. 12. Run Rule: 12 runs after 5 innings. 13. Game Length: hour and O minutes or 7 innings, whichever comes first. No new inning shall begin after : 0, unless game is tied. Exception - Championship games shall have no time limit. 14. Score shall be kept by both teams. Home team is official book. Final score shall be recorded by umpire on scorecard. 15. NO metal cleats. 16. Courtesy runners will be allowed: One courtesy runner per inning (Coed- one per gender) for each team and the one runner must be the same gender. The courtesy runner must also be the player who most recently finished their tum at bat. (Finishing your tum at bat includes making an out or scoring a run.) 17. Casual Profanity/Unsportsmanlike Conduct: Any team member in a game using casual profanity or unsportsmanlike language (expletives not directed at an umpire or opposing player and loud enough to be heard by spectators will result in an out being called against the offending team as follows: l) f a team is at bat, the next batter will be declared out. 2) f the act is committed by a player remaining at bat, the player will be called out. 3) f the act is committed by the defensive team, the first batter in the next inning will be declared out. 4) The outs will be treated as a delayed dead ball situation. 5) f the violation occurs in the bottom of the last inning, where the fielding team may not bat again, the ejection rule will apply. 6} A game may be ended by a casual profanity/unsportsmanlike language out. 18. Protests and tournament disqualifications will be reviewed by committee (Umpire involved, Umpire-n-Chief and Tournament Directors). Teams have until the last out of the last inning of play to protest a game. Teams MUST infonn the umpires of their protest BEFORE the game is completed or the protest will not be accepted. MPORT ANT NOTES: Softballs provided- 12'.52 COR/300 COMP- l l".52 COR/300 n the event of inclement weather, teams must be ready to play one hour prior to scheduled game time. Game length may be shortened, pitch count reduced and/or games scheduled for Sunday may be moved up to Saturday. Team captains are responsible for checking with the Tournament Director or UC and relaying any schedule changes to their players. Smoking (except in one's personal vehicle), pets and glass containers are not allowed on facility grounds. Please cooperate to avoid being fined by the police. Concessions provided by The Hula Hut... food & beverage, including beer! Pick-up player cannot play in a class higher than that of the highest class in your division. Example: f you are playing in the Coed Middle division with teams classified C4-C7, a pick-up player cannot come from a C1, C2 or C3 team. Pick-up player's legally registered team is not participating in same tournament. Tournament Line-up Cards TEAM CAPTANS: Line-up cards will be required for tournament games. Please present a line-up card with each player's name & number to the home plate umpire before each game in which you play.
