Bolton Wanderers FC International Super Cup Thursday 30 th July to Sunday 2 nd August 2015 Competition Information Pack Introduction Welcome to the International Super Cup I hope that this information pack answers all the questions and queries you may have. The tournament will be run over four days with teams from International and UK based locations that assure a diverse and enthralling competition. This letter/pack will provide all the information you will require however please feel free to contact us at any time with queries. Age Group Match Times The following information will provide general age group times but not specific match detail/times as that will be provided on the start of each day at registration. At this stage we can confirm the following; Ages under 7 and under 9 will play in the am only across the whole tournament from 9am to 1pm Ages under 8 and under 10 will play in the pm across the whole tournament from 1pm to 5pm Ages under 8 to under 10 semi and finals will be in the AM on Saturday and Sunday. Full details provided on day 1 Ages 11-18 will play across the whole day 9am to 4.30pm over the 4 days Arrival on Day one Vehicle Parking and Free Bus Service Please be aware that there is NO parking available at Lostock Academy Training Ground. All vehicles are to be parked on the main car park B (please see separate email attachment for map and directions) at the Macron Stadium (Free parking). There is a free bus service that will ferry your group to and from the tournament venue at Lostock Academy Training Ground. The free bus service is located at car park A (Outside the Whites Hotel on the south side of the stadium) throughout the day from 830am to 530pm. There will be various stewards on route to provide you with a safe and directed journey. You may, of course, walk to the tournament venue but please be aware that there are busy roads en route. This is only a walk of approximately 10 minutes. Again stewards will be available to assist and provide you with directions. 1
Arrival at the Tournament Venue and Player Registration On arrival at the Lostock Academy Training Ground there will be stewards and signs directing you to the Tented Village where the team registration point is located. Please be at the registration point for 9am on day one (or 1pm for under 8 & 10) with your teams details on the team registration form attached (see annex A ). You will be required complete the player details form (as attached) and ask that it be provided with the registration document on day one to confirm player identification when you register. Each team will register at the start of each day with team card presented to the match officials before every game. (see annex B ) Each team will play in varied length of match depending on age but we assure you that your team will play at least 2 games, maybe more, every day for 3 days. If you make the finals you will be playing on the fourth day (Sunday) in a semi and final stage. At registration you will receive a free tournament programme. Venue and Playing Surface The tournament will be located at the BWFC Academy Training Ground (Lostock) where all matches will be played on grass for 5v5, 7v7 and 9v9 and grass or 3G artificial pitches for 11v11 so please ensure that players have footwear for both surfaces. There will be a tented arena and refreshments for your comfort and activities whilst your team is not playing. You are most welcome to bring along a small tent and/or gazebo if you wish. You can also use the FREE bus service to transit to and from Macron Stadium if you wish to visit Middlebrook retail park or food outlets. Health & Safety Smoking - The venue is a NON SMOKING site with directions to designated smoking areas outside the main site entrance. Alcohol - Alcohol is not available nor to be brought by spectators at the tournament. BBQ s - Barbecues, and other cooking equipment such as camping stoves, are not permitted at the venue in any area. Medical Cover - There will be ample first aid and emergency medical cover available but no physiotherapy available across the four day event. Disability Access - There is access and egress to all areas of the venue with additional toilet facilities available on site. 2
Age Groupings and Game Format Teams will play in their age specific leagues; however, to maximize the event and provide a full four day tournament we will combine age groups in one league where entries are low. This is indicted in the table below. If on the first day teams do not show or withdraw we reserve the right to combine age groups where required. Please ensure you are conversant with them as we will ask those whom do not conform to leave. Rules, Laws The normal laws of the game will be observed for as follows; 11v11 Normal FIFA rules/laws apply in full with 5 substitutions per game 9v9 Normal FIFA rules/laws apply in full with 5 substitutions per game 7v7 and 5v5 Normal FA Mini Soccer rules/laws apply with the following exceptions; Law 3 - Any number of named substitutes may be used at any time with the permission of the referee. A player who has been replaced may return to the playing area as a substitute for another player. Law 8 Start and Re Start of play - Opponents must be 5 yards away from the ball at kick or and re start and in their own half of the field. The ball must be played forward. In Mini-Soccer a goal cannot be scored directly from a start or restart of play 3
Law 12 Fouls & Misconduct Mini-Soccer all free kicks are direct. A free kick is awarded to the opposing team if the goalkeeper: Takes more than 6 seconds to release the ball from his/her hands Touches the ball again with his/her hands after it has been released from his/her possession and has not touched any other player Touches the ball with his/her hands after it has been deliberately kicked to him/her by a team mate Touches the ball with his/her hands after he/she has received it directly from a throw in taken by a team mate For all these offences, the free kick should be taken from the penalty area line, parallel with the goal line, at the nearest point to the offence Event Management In the event of queries, questions or complaints please contact Mike Macias (Event manager) located at the central tented area. Teams Failing to Appear or Late for Kick off Any team late for Kick off will start that game 0-1 down Any team later than 15 minutes will forfeit the match 0-3 Any team not appearing at the appointed time and place for a match without a valid reason will automatically lose the match 0-3. If a team repeatedly fails to appear for fixtures, the team may be excluded from the tournament. In special cases, the tournament committee may decide to exclude a team at the first offence i.e. if a deliberate act of not appearing favours their own team or is unfair to another team in the group. If any team is excluded from the tournament previous results will be void. Team List No player on a team list may represent any other team in the tournament without permission of the tournament director. Random controls of team list and participant lists will be carried out. Photography There will be an official photographer at the tournament however BWFC takes safeguarding children as a high importance and will allow photography at the event. If there is a member of your group that does not wish to be photographed or agree to open photography policy then please ensure you advise the staff at registration each day. We will then ensure where possible there is no photography at that match. Match Officials Referees must be shown respect at all times. BWFC hold their match officials in very high esteem and without these individuals we would not have a tournament to participate in. Respect is given to all match officials regardless of the outcome of your fixture. 4
We will in no way tolerate disrespect given to match officials and disciplinary action will be taken against any teams or individuals who disrespect the tournament officials. *PLEASE NOTE, THIS INFORMATION IS SUBJECT TO CHANGE ON A DAILY BASIS YOU WILL BE UPADTED WITH ANY CHANGES TO TOURNAMENT FORMAT, RULES ETC.
