In the Ginger Colvin and Jeremy Lewis eras, Campbellsville holds a 7-3 edge in the series. The Lady Tigers are also out-scoring Cumberland in the series, 65 ppg - 59 ppg. Both teams have met only once in the postseason, with Cumberland winning its first MSC championship, 59-46, in the 2012-13 year - its first year as a conference member since moving to the Trans South Conference after the 2001-02 season. Since the Phoenix re-entered the conference, the Lady Tigers lead the series 6-3. Campbellsville is 5-0 in Colvin s tenure while playing at home against Cumberland. LTB won the first-ever matchup in the 1992-93 season, 103-82. Tiger Clawz CU is coming off its first loss of the season - 59-50 to No. 2 Westmont. Four of the Lady Tigers six wins have come on neutral courts. CU defeated Harris-Stowe and Hiwassee in the Bethel University Chamber Classic to open the season, beat Bluefield State College on Nov. 12 at University of Pikeville and John Brown at the Jackson Rotary Classic last weekend. The Lady Tigers rank No. 8 by allowing opponents to hit only 23.5 percent from deep. After coming back from an ACL injury last season, LeeAnn Grider ranks No. 3 with 6.2 assists per game and No. 10 with an assist/turnover ratio of 3.6. Madison Clements has scored in double figures every game this year and leads CU by averaging 15.8 points per game. She scored a season-high 23 points vs. Talladega on Monday, Nov. 21. Last season, Campbellsville finished with a 27-9 record and 10-4 inside the MSC. The Lady Tigers battled their way into the NAIA Quarterfinals for the 10th time in program history before falling to Benedictine, 45-36. Lady Tigers earn split at Jackson Rotary Classic Lady Tiger basketball picked up a 71-64 win over John Brown in the opening game of the Jackson Rotary Classic but fell 59-50 to No. 2 Westmont in the finale. Against John Brown, CU shot a frigid 25 percent in the first half but countered that by firing 54 in the second half. Playing in the inaugural Jackson Rotary Classic at historic Oman Arena, it was a totally different team for CU in each half. The Lady Tigers trailed 27-22 and only hit 8-of-31 shots, while John Brown drilled six 3-pointers in the opening half. Coming out of the break, though, CU would score 28 points six more points than it did in the entire first half. Emily Fox gave CU its first lead with 5:49 left in the third quarter with one of her four 3-pointers. She finished with a team-high 14 points along with sophomore Jordan Doram, who also grabbed a career-high 13 boards for her first double-double. Against Westmont, the Lady Tigers couldn t overcome just hitting six field goals and shooting 22 percent in the second half. The Lady Tigers came out on fire and took an 18-11 lead after the first quarter. CU finished with eight made baskets in that first frame (8-of-14) and scored 16 of its 18 points in the paint. The second and third quarters were the total opposite, though. Westmont out-scored CU 16-9 in the second period and knotted the game at 27 going into halftime. In the fourth, the Warriors were able to push their lead to as big as 10 points, 50-40. Even though CU shot 33 percent from the floor, the Lady Tigers were able to keep the game close throughout by hitting 92 percent from the free throw line (11-of-12). 2016-17 Campbellville University Women s Basketball @LTB_CU Campbellsvilletigers.com

In addition, WBCA All-American Honorable Mention along with being named an NAIA All-American Honorable Mention. Clements hasn t missed a beat after redshirt season After getting injured in the first game of the season last year, it took a lot of convincing for Madison Clements to redshirt. But the move paid off because she is better than ever after getting 100 percent healthy. Clements plays the third-most minutes on the team and is averaging almost 18 points per game. Clements is shooting the lights out by hitting 44 percent from 3-point land (14-of-32) and ranking No. 22 in the NAIA by making 2.8 triples per game. In five games this season, Clements has hit four 3s in a game once and three triples twice. She has hit multiple 3s in every game. In addition, she is also averaging four rebounds per game. Grider is overcoming mental aspects of ACL injury After a grueling summer of rehabbing an ACL injury, Grider hasn t missed a beat. She is averaging the second-most minutes per game (25.0) and is one of the pest point guards in the NAIA. Currently ranks No. 9 in the country with 34 assists and No. 3 by averaging 6.8 dimes per game. The turnover rate has dropped as well, ranking No. 7 in assist-to-turnover ratio (4.8). She currently is tied with head coach Ginger High Colvin with the most assists in a single game (15 vs. Lindsey Wilson in 2015). Coming into the season she ranked No. 5 in program history with 501 career assists - just 91 shy of second place. She has a ways to go to top Colvin s mark of 865. The biggest stat for Grider the past three seasons - she finished her freshman year shooting 47 percent from the free throw line then upped it to 66 percent as a sophomore and 71 percent as a junior. She is current shooting 70 percent. Grider, who wasn t a threat from the 3-point line her first two seasons, also made opponents respect her outside shooting last season, hitting 37 percent from the 3-point line compared to just 22.5 percent in 2014-15. CU s 16-game non-conference schedule features six teams that are ranked in the Preseason NAIA Coaches Poll and all six made a postseason appearance in the NAIA Tournament last season. The Lady Tigers played a home-and-home slate with No. 21 Talladega (Nov. 7 and Nov. 21) - winning both. Campbellsville now travels to Oman Arena in Jackson, Tenn. for the Jackson Rotary Champions Classic to face John Brown and No. 2 Westmont (Nov. 26-27). CU will then host the innagural Mid-South Conference - Southern States Athletic Conference Challenge, as Mobile (Dec. 17), Martin Methodist (Dec. 18) and Bethel (Dec. 19) compete for the SSAC at Powell Athletic Center. Over Christmas break (Dec. 28-30), the Lady Tigers will travel to Miami Gardens, Fla. for three games at St. Thomas University s Classic. CU ends its non-conference slate with home games against Spalding (Jan. 21) and Wilberforce (Jan. 28). Last season, the Lady Tigers finished with a 17-4 non-conference record including NAIA Tournament games. MSC is yet again one of the top in the NAIA Out of 14 Mid-South Conference games on the 2016-17 schedule, Lady Tiger basketball will play half of them against teams ranked in the Preseason Coaches Top 25 Poll. CU ranks No. 4, Lindsey Wilson ranks No. 5, Shawnee State ranks No. 11, Pikeville is No. 17 and Cumberland ranks No. 23. Ginger Colvin starts her 10th season at CU Ginger Colvin enters her 10th season as head coach of the Lady Tigers. In her tenure as head coach, Colvin has accumulated a 245-66 record. She has achieved three 30-win seasons and has been to the NAIA National Tournament in all but her first season. In her playing career, Colvin was a star performer. In 1990, she was named a Third- Team All-American and the KIAC Player of the Year. She is one of four Lady Tigers to be named as an All-Conference selection for four consecutive seasons.
