RULES OF THE 3rd PZU CRACOVIA ROYAL HALF-MARATHON I. ORGANIZER The 3rd Cracovia Royal Half-Marathon is organized by the Municipality of Krakow Sports Infrastructure Management Board of Krakow. II. DATE AND PLACE 1. The 3rd PZU Cracovia Royal Half -arathon will be held on 16 October 2016 (Sunday) in Krakow. 2. The participants will start at Staniław Lem Street, at 11.00 a.m. The start gate will be closed about 20 minutes after the start. 3. The finish of the half-marathon run will be located at TAURON Arena Krakow. 4. The Office of the Race will be located at TAURON Arena Krakow, Lema Street in Krakow. Opening days: 14.10.2015 from 3.00 p.m. till 8.00 p.m. 15.10.2015 from 10.00 a.m. till 8.00 p.m. 16.10.2015 from 7.00 a.m. till 9.00 a.m. (Note: On the date of the competition, the Office of the Race distributes competitor packages only, there will be no opportunity to register and pay the entry fee). III. ROUTE 1. The course of the half-marathon is about 21,097.5 m long. 2. Participants are required to finish the route within 3 hours, that is until 2.00 p.m. 3. Each kilometre along the route will be marked from 1 to 21. 4. Competitors at the start shall gather in their respective zones. Participants shall be assigned to specific zones depending on the time of reaching the finish declared by them at the moment of registration. Order of time zones from the start line: a) <1:24:59

b) 1:25:00-1:29:59 c) 1:30:00-1:39:59 d) 1:40:00-1:49:59 e) 1:50:00-1:59:59 f) 2:00:00-2:09:59 g) 2:10:00< 5. Food/drink stands will be located at: a) 5km b) 12km c) 19 km 6. Refreshment stands will be located at: a) 8.5km b) 15.5km Note! The Organizer does not accept competitors' private food supplements. 7. Behind the nutrition and refreshment stations toilet cabins will be located. IV. TERMS OF PARTICIPATION 1. The prerequisite for the entry to the 3rd PZU Cracovia Royal Half-Marathon for a competitor is to register and pay the entry fee on or before 15.10.2016 (Saturday) until 8.00 p.m. 2. In the 3rd PZU Cracovia Royal Half-Marathon may participate competitors of at least 18 years of age as of 16.10.2016. 3. Competitor is required to hold a valid medical certificate permitting for the participation in the race and to personally sign a declaration that he/she is healthy enough to participate in the race. 4. In the 3rd PZU Cracovia Half-Marathon, time will be measured with the use of an electronic time measurement system. During verification, each competitor will be given a chip built into the race number. Correct fixing of the chip is a prerequisite to entry the marathon and to be ranked in the final communication of the race.

5. To be able to be classified, competitor is required to run the approved route of the halfmarathon and finish it within the stipulated time of 3 hours. 6. Participants who run contrary to the rules will be disqualified. 7. Those Participants who do not finish the race until 2:00 p.m. are required to stop running and leave the course and they may reach the finish line by car with the The end of the Run sign. Whoever decides to continue running after the time limit has passed, does so on his/her own responsibility pursuant to the regulations on road traffic and the provisions of the Polish Civil Code. 8. During the race, participants are required to adhere to the instructions of the people responsible for safety, event safety services, and people acting on behalf of the Organizer. 9. It is prohibited to use any vehicles on the course of the half-marathon, except for the Organizer's vehicles. For safety reasons, the Organizer does not allow people in wheelchairs, with pushchairs/prams to participate in the run. Running with animals is not allowed either. 10. It is prohibited to entry the race when being drunk or intoxicated with other abusive substances. 11. The Organizer does not insure race participants against the risk of accident. 12. Handing one s starting number over to another person will result in disqualification of the Participant. 13. Participants that are disqualified in other running events do not have the right to participate in the 3rd PZU Cracovia Royal Half-Marathon until the expiry of their respective disqualification. V. APPLICATION PROCEDURE AND ENTRY FEE 1. Applications for the 3rd PZU Cracovia Royal Half-Marathon are received as follows: a. on the website of the 3rd PZU Cracovia Royal Half-Marathon, on or before 3.10.2016, applications will be accepted via the application form available on the website of the run - www.pzucracoviapolmaraton.pl b. in the Office of the Race on 14 and 15.10.2016 2. Application is deemed made by completing an electronic form or a form obtained at the Office of the Race, and signing of the declaration at the Office of the Race and payment of the entry fee (except those who are exempt from entry fee). 3. Verification of competitors and distribution of competitor packages together with the race numbers, as well as receiving additional applications (14-15.10.2016), will be held at the Office of the Race.

4. During the collection of a competitor package, competitors are required to make a declaration that they are aware of the risks that may arise in connection with the participation in the 3rd PZU Cracovia Half-Marathon, and that they are healthy enough to participate in this race. In the event of any doubt about one's health and thus the possibility to enter the halfmarathon, the competitor is obliged to seek on his/her own a doctor's opinion before entering the event. 5. Competitor packages are to be received by competitors in person. The packages shall be given out upon presentation of an ID or passport with a proof of payment of entry fee (the proof of payment should be furnished by non-verified competitors). 6. However, it is allowed to receive the competitor package on behalf of the other person upon submission of a written authorization for the receipt and medical certificate or declaration of the competitor that he/she is healthy enough to participate, signed by the competitor (files to download are attached hereto). Only statements on health condition made using the forms provided by the Organizer will be accepted. Upon receipt of a competitor package, it is necessary to furnish an ID document, and in the absence of the race number specified in the start list posted on the website of the race, one should also furnish the proof of payment. 7. The entry fee is as follows: PLN 50 via bank transfer on or before 01.06.2016; PLN 70 - via bank transfer within the period 02.06-03.10.2016 PLN 100 in cash, on 14-15.10.2016 at the Office of the Race. 8. On the date of the race (16.10.2016) 7.00 a.m.-9,30 a.m., the Office of the Race distributes competitor packages only. There will be no possibility to register and pay the entry fee. 9. Discounts: Discount of 50% for competitors of 60 years of age as of the date of start of the race 50% discount for holders of the Krakow Family Card - upon verification at the Office of the Race, please produce the valid Krakow Family Card accompanied by your ID document The discounts may not be accumulated. 10. The following are exempt from the entry fee: - disabled people, - people invited by the Organizer, - guides of visually impaired people, - pacemakers.

11. Entry fee should be paid in within 30 days from the date of registration. After that time limit, the unpaid application will be removed and where you are still interested in participation you will be required to register again. 12. The entry fee should be paid in as follows: a. via bank transfer on or before 3.10.2016; b. in cash at the Office of the Race, within the period 14-15.10.2016 13. Those who wish to obtain a VAT invoice, please send your details with the proof of payment to the Organizer's e-mail address: zapisy@zis.krakow.pl. 14. The entry fee: a. Once paid, the entry fee is not subject to return, unless the return is due to activities the Organizer is liable for or due to force majeure. b. Where the entry fee is not made in full amount (e.g. not corresponding to the currently applicable rate according to the rules), the participant is obliged to settle, as soon as possible, the payable amount up to the rate valid as of the date of payment. c. The fee will not be valid if the participant concerned has not filed an application, i.e. is not listed in the start list. d. The organizer allows for the possibility to transfer the fee and competitor package to another player, until 2.09.2016 at the latest, upon contacting the organizer. e. The fee cannot be transferred to another edition of the event or to another event; f. The date of crediting the account of the Organizer shall be deemed the date of payment. g. Payments made by bank transfer after 03.10.2016 will not be accepted. The date of crediting the account of the Organizer shall be deemed the date of payment. The additional payment must be made at the cash office of the Office of the Race;

h. The Organizer is not responsible for any loss of application and the postal order/bank transfer note due to a fault of the postal service/ bank, participant of the run or a third party. VI. STANDINGS 1. In the 3rd PZU Cracovia Royal Half-Marathon, participants will be classified under the following categories: a. General classification for women and men, b. age categories for women and men: F 18-29 M 18-29 F 30-39 M 30-39 F 40-49 M 40-49 F 50-59 M 50-59 F 60-69 M-60-69 F 70 and older M 70 and older c. General classification for competitors with eyesight disability in the categories of women and men: Category B1 100% blind persons with a guide Category B2 visually impaired people and partially sighted people using the help of another person (guide) or participating on their own 2. Competitors must provide current proof of eyesight disability e.g. a membership card of the Polish Association of the Blind or card of the Local Family Assistance Centre, or decision on granting 1st or 2nd disability group related to eyesight disability. Due to the fact that the above-mentioned documents do not specify that there is a 100% loss of vision, and in order to be allowed to run in the B1 category, competitors in this category are required to submit a statement of 100% loss of vision. During registration, eyesight disabled participants are required to make a declaration that they are aware of the risks that may arise out in connection with their participation in the marathon race, and that they are healthy enough to participate in the race. In the event of any doubt about one's health and thus the possibility to enter the race, the competitor is obliged to seek on his/her own a doctor's opinion before entering the event. VII. PRIZES 1. All Participants who reach the finish line with the stipulated time, will be awarded a commemorative medal. 2. Prizes funded by sponsors of the half-marathon in general categories of women and men: 1st place PLN 10 000.00 2nd place PLN 8 000.00

3rd place PLN 6 000.00 4th place PLN 4 000.00 5th place PLN 2 000.00 6th place PLN 1 000.00 3. In the age categories of women and men, for places 1-3 the winners will be awarded prizes in kind. 4. In addition, winners of the six first places in the general classification of women and men will be awarded cups funded by the Municipality of Krakow. 5. Winners in the general classification of visually disabled competitors (categories B1 and B2) that will take three first places in the categories of women and men will be awarded prizes in kind. 6. The prerequisite to be awarded the prizes is to complete the race and obtain negative result of anti-doping test. 7. Where the total value of the prize exceeds PLN 760, an income tax shall be deducted from that prize according to applicable legislation. 8. Prizes in the general classification will be paid to the account specified by the competitor as soon as the results of anti-doping test are available. 9. Prizes in kind that are not received during the awarding ceremony may be received in the organizer's principal office within a month from the event, after prior contacting the Organizer. After that period the prize shall be forfeited for the benefit of the Organizer. 10. Participants who are awarded in general classification will also be awarded in age categories. VIII. ORGANIZER'S BENEFITS 1. 1. Cloakrooms and storages of clothing will be located near the start/finish areas. 2. The storage will be used for depositing competitors' personal belongings packed into bags provided by the organizer upon verification of competitors, with labels attached that specify the number given at the starting point. 3. The bags will be given out of the deposit upon presentation of the race number. In the event the race number is lost by competitor, the organizer is released from the liability for the bag taken out by another person. Note: please do not deposit valuable items and documents in the storage.

5. The Organiser is not liable for participants' items left outside the safekeeping point and for items deposited in the safekeeping point after the safekeeping point working hours. 6. Within the entry fee, each participant receives a competitor package, comprising: - race number with safety pins, - shirt (the Organizer does not guarantee suitable shirt size) - bag for belongings to be stored + sticker for the bag, - information materials. and also: - option to use showers and massage after the race, - energy meal after the race. 7. During the half-marathon, the Organizer provides emergency medical assistance. Due to physical effort related to the marathon distance it is recommended to become subject to relevant medical examination before starting. regardless of the age and physical shape of the participant. IX. FINANCING Costs of organizing the 3rd PZU Cracovia Royal Half-Marathon shall be borne by: the Municipality of Krakow, Sponsors and Partners. IX. FINAL PROVISIONS 1. Participants of the 3rd Cracovia Royal Half-Marathon must adhere to the regulations of Polish Athletics Association, International Association of Athletics Federations, and to these Rules. 2. During the race, participants must have their race numbers provided by the organizer pinned to the shirt front. Covering the race number in whole or in part is prohibited under penalty of disqualification. 3. During the 3rd PZU Cracovia Royal Half-Marathon, anti-doping checks will be carried out. 4. Competitors shall agree to the processing of their personal data for internal purposes of the event organizer, and the use of their image in information, marketing and publicity materials under a declaration signed at the Office of the Race. 5. Chief Referee receives written protests on the day of the event, by 2:30 p.m. at the latest.

6. The Organizer reserves the right to make changes in these Rules, and the Organizer is obliged to announce those changes before the event. 7. The Organizer reserves the right to change the date and route of the course. 8. Filing the application by completing the application form is deemed acceptance of the regulations of the race.
