PRIVATE TOURNAMENT AGREEMENT CONDITIONS OF PARTICIPATION 1. ALL FEES MUST BE PAID ON OR PRIOR TO THE DATE OF THE EVENT AS INDICATED ON THE PRIVATE TOURNAMENT CONTRACT. NO EXCEPTIONS UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES. 2. If there is a Course Closure on the day of your scheduled golf tournament, we require your tournament to attend the banquet, and we feel confident that your tournament participants will enjoy the time spent at our Club. This is a minimal occurrence at our Club and if you have any questions regarding this matter, please feel free to call us at anytime. 3. The Club will provide golf times for only the guaranteed number of participants which must be indicated eight days prior to the event. The tournament organizer must pay for at least this guaranteed number of participants. Additional numbers of participants must be approved by the General Manager after determining if additional times are available. 4. All start times for Private tournaments must be approved by the General Manager. 5. 18 Hole Green Fees are $54.00 - $59.00 + tax per player Weekdays and $64.00 - $69.00 + tax per player Weekends and Holidays. 9 Hole Tournament Fees are available on a limited basis and are $33.00 - $36.00 + tax per player Monday Thursday and $39.00 - $42.00 + tax per player Friday Sunday and Holidays. 6. All participants in Private Tournaments are required to pay the appropriate Green Fees. There is no discount for Fernie Golf & Country Club Members during private functions. 7. Four person Texas Scramble from the red or white tees is the preferred format. Special consideration will be given for stroke play format based on the ability of the golfers participating in the tournament. 8. Shotgun formats require a minimum of 100 golfers and are only available on a limited basis. Approval for Shotgun Tournaments must be granted by the General Manager or Fernie Golf & Country Club Board of Directors.

9. Power carts may be reserved and paid in full at the same time as tournament fees. The rate for a power cart is $33.00 + tax for 18 holes and $20.00 + tax for 9 holes. Carts may be limited depending on the number of participants. 12% tax charged on all cart rentals. Carts must be operated in a safe and courteous manner including: - Staying on cart paths around all tees and greens - No more than two players are allowed on the power cart If carts are paid for by the tournament organizer this person is responsible for any damage incurred to the power carts and must sign a waiver prior to receiving the keys. Any damages incurred will automatically be charged to the credit card used in the booking of the Tournament. 10. Arrangements for booking power cart tournament fleets can be made with the Club if quantities needed are larger than the Fernie Golf & Country Club can provide. 11. Each player must have his/her own set of clubs and bag. Each player must have proper footwear. Metal spikes are not allowed on the golf course at anytime. Soft spikes must be used in all golf shoes. 12. All rules set out by the Club shall be obeyed at all times. 13. All tournament participants must obey the direction of the starter, marshal, pro shop staff, and management. The Club reserves the right to cancel or suspend playing privileges, without refund, to anyone or the entire group, for violation of Club rules, or for any action which in Management s opinion is abusive or offensive to the property and well-being of the Club. 14. PACE OF PLAY IS 4 HOURS FOR 18 HOLES. For helpful hints see the attached Rules Of Ready Golf. 15. All Private Tournaments organized at the Club must be formalized in a standard contract including such details as green fees, dates, tee times, banquet numbers and banquet time, confirmation of number of players, and approved by the General Manager. 16. A list of players must be submitted to the Pro Shop two days before the tournament date. All players must tee off on time and complete play within the time span stipulated above in 14. 17. All food and beverage services must be arranged through the Club by contacting the General Manager or directly contacting the Group booking coordinator Stacey Charest. 18. Alcohol must be purchased through the normal bar service in the clubhouse, or from the beverage carts. It is illegal to have alcohol on the golf course that was not purchased from the Club. All illegal alcohol will be removed from the course. 19. A 18% Gratuity charge on all meal prices will be added to the invoice. 20. An approximate number of people attending the banquet and the banquet time must be given at least eight days prior. A definite confirmation number must be given 72 hours prior to the banquet. Any group that has given a definite guaranteed number of people for the banquet will be charged for that amount unless there are more people in attendance. No exceptions will be given. (For example: 100 has been guaranteed three days prior to the function, if there are only 90 that attend, the group will still be charged for 100 people). 21. If you have any special requests, please feel free to call anytime so that we may customize a perfect menu for you and your guests. 22. Optional Computer scoring can be included for your event for a charge of $2 per head. This includes: Score Cards, Sponsor recognition, all scoring and computer display and print outs. 23. Corporate passes are not accepted as green fees for any Private or Club Tournaments. Pro Shop Merchandise Credits are also not accepted as green fees for any Private or Club Tournaments. Rules of Ready Golf To assist you in keeping up with the group in front of you, please follow the ready Golf Rules outlined below. 1. The player who is ready should hit. 2. Shorter hitters should hit first. 3. Tee-off as soon as the group ahead is clear. 4. Carry an extra ball in your pocket. ON THE TEE ON THE FAIRWAY 5. HIT WHEN READY & safe; do not use honor system. 6. Take appropriate clubs to your ball and HIT WITHOUT DELAY. 7. Have your group watch where each shot goes. 8. Limit search for lost balls to 3 minutes. 9. Pick up and place ball on green upon reaching double par. ON THE GREEN 10. Place your clubs between green and next tee. 11. Study your putt while others are putting. 12. Continue putting until holed out. 13. LEAVE the green IMMEDIATELY after holing out and PROCEED to the next tee. Complete your scorecard after you re off the green. SHORTCUTS 14. Mark your score on the way to the next tee. 15. When driving a cart, drop your partner at his/her ball, then, continue to yours. Fernie Golf & Country Club Dress Code for Patrons Gentlemen Acceptable Dress golf slacks, tailored shorts, golf shirt with collar, sweater, sweatshirt or pullover, jacket and rain gear. Ladies Acceptable Dress skirts, culottes, slacks, tailored shorts, blouses, golf shirt with collar, sleeveless golf shirt, sweater, sweatshirt or pullover, jacket and rain gear. *It is required that all members, their guests, and green fee players wear suitable attire at all times on the course, driving range and in and around the Clubhouse. As dress is a personal matter and as contemporary golfing attire changes from time to time, any questions regarding the acceptability of any particular apparel can be reviewed with the Professional Staff.
