Local Event (i) Mizuno HK Half Marathon Championships 2016 The Mizuno HK Half Marathon Championships 2016 was organized by the Hong Kong Amateur Athletic Association, and title sponsored by Ichikawa Sangyo Company Limited, it was held at Tai Mei Tuk on 18 December 2016. 3,080 athletes participated in this event. (ii) Pre-season Trial cum Relay Carnival 2017 The Pre-season Trial cum Relay Carnival was organized by the Hong Kong Amateur Athletic Association, it was held at Wan Chai Sports Ground on 15 January 2017. There were 463 athletes and 49 relay teams participated in the event. (iii) Hong Kong Race Walking Championships 2017 The Hong Kong Race Walking Championships was organized by the Hong Kong Amateur Athletic Association, it was held at Wan Chai Sports Ground on 15 January 2017. There were 47 athletes participated in this event, this event consisted of 3 Men & 3 Women Categories. Mr. TSE Chun Hung & Ms. NG Sau Man have broken the Hong Kong Men s & Women s Records of 10,000m walk respectively. (iv) Hong Kong Athletics Series Series 1 The Hong Kong Athletics Series Series 1 was organized by Hong Kong Amateur Athletic Association, subvented by Leisure & Cultural Services Department, it was held at Tseung Kwan O Sports Ground on 25 & 26 February 2017. There were 653 athletes participated in this event, this event composed of Men & Women categories. 2. Local International Event (v) Standard Chartered Hong Kong Marathon 2017 Standard Chartered Hong Kong Marathon 2017 was organized by Hong Kong Amateur Athletic Association, title sponsored by Standard Chartered Bank (Hong Kong) Limited, it was held on 12 February 2017. The race is being recognized as IAAF Gold Label Road Race by the International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF) and M-Mark Event by Major Sports Events Committee. The race consisted of various distances, including 10km, Half Marathon, Marathon, Family Run, and 2 distances for wheelchair athletes (3km & 10km). The event was held from January to May 2017 in various LCSD sports centres. Winners in the first round-robin stage entered the second knock-out or round-robin stage to compete for championships in each division. Award presentation ceremony will be held in June 2017. No. of participant: 5,712 (476 teams) 1.2 Samsung 60 th Festival of Sport 37 th Ladies Cup Hong Kong Badminton Championships Title sponsored by Samsung, organized by SFOC, co-organized by HKBA and subvented by LCSD. The event was held on 4, 18, 19 and 26 March 2017 at Siu Sai Wan Sports Centre, Hong Kong Park Sports Centre and Wai Tsuen Sports Centre. Over 270 applications were received. 1.3 2016/17 Community Cup Youth Team Badminton Competition Organized by HKBA and subvented by LCSD. The event was held on 5 & 12 February 2017 at Tiu Keng Leng & Kowloon Bay Sports Centre. Over 324 under aged 19 teenagers from 12 Community Sports Clubs were attended. 1.4 School Sports Programme School Sports Programme is organized by National Sports Association and subvented by the LCSD. It is co-ordinated and implemented by the LCSD and co-organized by the Education Bureau, the Chinese University of Hong Kong and the Hong Kong Baptist University. Coaches are arranged to schools for Easy Sport Programme and Outreach Coaching Programme for 62 courses in January, 30 courses in February, 78 courses in March respectively. School Sports Programme 2017 Easy Sport Competition Badminton Competition was held on 18 February and 4 March with 94 entries. 1

Seminar on Managing Behavioral Problems of Athletes with Intellectual Disability and Autism Subvented by the Hong Kong Coaching Committee, the seminar was held at Hong Kong Sports Institute on 15/1/2017 with 52 participants. The seminar focused on the techniques in managing behavioral problems of athletes with intellectual disability and autism. 41 st HKSO Regional Athletic Meet Region V Subvented by the Leisure and Cultural Services Department and co-organized by Hong Kong Special Olympics, the athletic meet was held at Shing Mun Valley Sports Ground on 21/1/2017 with 626 athletes from 14 agency members. 2017 HKSO Floor Hockey Coach and Referee Training Course Subvented by the Leisure and Cultural Services Department and co-organized by Hong Kong Special Olympics and the Technological and Higher Education Institute, the course was held at Thei (Kowloon Tong Campus) on 10-12/2/2017 with 40 participants. The course equipped participants with solid knowledge of the rules and techniques in teaching floor hockey. Seminar: Stress Identification and Relief for Athletes with Intellectual Disability Subvented by the Hong Kong Coaching Committee, the seminar was held at Hong Kong Sports Institute on 25/2/2017 with 36 participants. The seminar focused on the techniques in identifying stress and introduced some stress relief measures for athletes with intellectual disability.
Overseas Event 2016 PTT US Open, USA Hong Kong Team, comprising 2 coaches and 3 male athletes, participated in the 2016 PTT US Open which was held in Las Vegas, USA on 14-16/12/2016. The table tennis athletes were given opportunities to polish their skills in the competition with ID athletes from 2 countries/regions and 2 medals, 1 gold and 1 silver, were grasped.
