Afterthoughts of Promoter Many congratulations to each and every one of you who tested your skills and strength against a very demanding course, made even more difficult with the keen wind. Mark Smith had a fine performance, stopping the clock in a remarkable time of 50:06 whilst Steve Dennis was a clear winner of the Vets competition with a plus of 6:08. In fact, only eight riders achieved a plus against the CTT Target Times which demonstrates the severity of the Course. Although Katie Crowe improved on her last year s winning time, it was not good enough to get onto the podium! The Women s Competition was won by Mathilde Pauls in a spectacular time of 59:36. It was encouraging to see a fine entry of women, many recruited by Kathryn Morris of the London Women s Racing C C of which many were riding their first-time Trial. I m sure that it will be some comfort that future Time Trials will seem less demanding in comparison. In the Team Competition I was surprised to see that the winning margin was 25 seconds over 2h 43m. Finally, I would like to thank you all for entering a I look forward to seeing you all again on the Start Line next year. Also, your kind generosity has meant that I am sending a cheque for 108 to St Christopher s Hospice in memory of Don Glover.
