The Ladyjacks held Northwood to 28 points on Nov. 20, the lowest team-total allowed to an opponent since Rice in 1974-75 (W, 82-20). The 28 points were the fifth-lowest opponents total in school history. Sophomore center Porsha Roberts, the reigning Southland Conference Freshman of the Year, was named to the SLC Preseason Second-Team. Roberts set an SFA freshman record with 59 blocks last season. SFA head coach Brandon Schneider is entering his third season with the Ladyjacks and 15th overall. Last year he led SFA to a 23-10 record, a +11 win turnaround from the previous season. That was the third-largest turnaround in the country. SFA welcomes five newcomers to this year s squad, including JuCo transfers Antionette Carter and K.K. Jerrell, both of whom will play major roles for the Ladyjacks in 2012-13.
