The Braves lead the all-time series, 74-48, and are 33-24 in Milwaukee...UP NEXT: The Braves will finish this three-game series on Wednesday before continuing their seven-game road trip in Colorado with four games...after the four-day All-Star Break, Atlanta opens the second half of the season with a six-game homestand against the Chicago Cubs and Los Angeles Dodgers. u ALL-STAR: RHP Shelby Miller was named to his first All-Star team yesterday, making the team as a reserve and he will serve as Atlanta s lone representative...miller, acquired from St. Louis in an off-season trade, is 5-4 with a 2.07 ERA in 17 starts for the Braves...He has allowed two earned runs or less in 14 of his turns this year, tied for the most such starts in the Majors with fellow All-Stars Zack Greinke and A.J. Burnett...Miller is one of five pitchers this year with two shutouts, while his 2.07 ERA is the fourth lowest in the Majors...The last time the Braves only had one All-Star was 2009, when C Brian McCann made the team as a reserve. u ROSTER MOVES: The Braves today recalled RHP Mike Foltynewicz from Gwinnett (AAA) and optioned OF Joey Terdoslavich to the G-Braves...Foltynewicz was with the Braves earlier this season, from May 1-June 17, going 3-2 with a 5.19 ERA in nine games, all starts...he struck out 48 and walked 17...The right-hander was 1-5 with a 3.15 ERA (16 ER/45.2 IP) in eight games, all starts, at Gwinnett, and went 1-2 with a 4.13 ERA (11 ER/24 IP) in four starts after rejoining Gwinnett in June...Allowed four total earned runs over his final three starts with the G-Braves...YESTERDAY S MOVES: The Braves made four roster moves yesterday, recalling RHP Arodys Vizcaino from Gwinnett (AAA) and selecting the contract of RHP David Carpenter from the G-Braves...In order to make room on the active roster, the club designated RHP Nick Masset and LHP Dana Eveland for assignment. u SIGNED: The Atlanta Braves have signed 30 of their draft selections, including 24 of the top 25 picks and 28 of their top 30, from the 2015 First-Year Player Draft. Of the 30 signed players, 20 are pitchers, four are infielders, four are catchers and two are outfielders. Overall, 23 players signed were selected out of college, while the remaining seven were drafted out of high school. u ABOUT YESTERDAY: The Braves took the opener of a three-game set with Milwaukee, 5-3, yesterday... RHP Matt Wisler earned his third win of the season with 5.2 innings, and he became the first Braves pitcher to win three of his first four career starts since Mike Minor in 2010...C A.J. Pierzynski tied a season-high total with four hits and OF/INF Kelly Johnson had two hits, including a home run, and three RBI. u STRONG STARTS: Braves starters have compiled a 2.79 ERA (34 ER/109.2 IP) over the last 18 games, dating to June 17...The rotation has allowed only seven home runs over this stretch, while striking out 90 and walking 28 (3.2 K/BB)...The seven home runs allowed are tied for the second fewest by a starting staff during that time period and one behind the lead. u BRAVES OF LATE: The Braves have a MLB high-tying five July wins while compiling a 2.29 ERA (14 ER/55.0 IP) for the month...the staff s 50 strikeouts this month are the third most in the Majors...Overall, the Braves have won six of their last eight games. u A.J.
