Founded in 1971, the Nordic Council of Ministers is the official body for inter-governmental co-operation in the Nordic Region. The Council of Ministers seeks Nordic solutions with visible positive effects for everybody who lives in the Region. The Nansen Humanistic Academy is located in Lillehammer, Norway. Founded in 1938 as a protest against totalitarian ideologies in Europe, it has since been awarded for its work on humanism, tolerance and freedom of speech. It offers one-year study programmes based on the social and humanistic sciences. NIAS - the Nordic Institute of Asian Studies - is an academically independent Nordic research and resource center, focusing on modern Asia from a predominantly social sciences perspective. NIAS is an integrated part of the University of Copenhagen with the status of a centre under the Department of Political Science. The Fudan-European Centre for China Studies was established by Fudan University in 2013 in partnership with the University of Copenhagen. It is a strategic initiative of Fudan University to meet the growing demand for a more nuanced understanding of China s development and its global impacts.
