The southpaw walked Mike Ohlman before being lifted for reliever Anyelo Gomez, who threw two pitches before leaving with an injury, Jordan Betts singled off Cody Carroll to drive in Ohlman for a 2-0 advantage. Chandler Shepherd was strong at the start for Pawtucket, tossing seven scoreless innings. LHP Justus Sheffield is the No. 46 Prospect in all of Minor League Baseball and the No. 3 Prospect in the New York Yankees system before the season according to MLB Pipeline (INF Gleyber Torres, OF Estevan Florial). He impressed to start the season with Double-A Trenton- prompting his promotion- going 1-2 with a 2.25 ERA in 5G/5GS.
