I hope you all are able to keep the New Year s Resolutions you have made. I also hope that our Lodge and membership are able to grow by leaps and bounds in the upcoming year. I m sure it can happen with the help of all of our members. It would be great if we could get everyone to sign up at least one new member this year. Talk to your friends and neighbors and tell them how proud you are of your Lodge and all it has to offer. Our Lodge will be hosting the VMA District 10 Meeting on Saturday, January 5th at 2:00 and would love to see as many of our members at this meeting as possible. Please mark your calendars now so you can plan to attend and will not miss it. We will be having a SUPER Super Bowl Party on Sunday, February 3rd starting at 3:00 and will be giving away some amazing prizes so plan on coming to this big party. GOVERNORS MESSAGE Well the new year is upon us. I trust everyone had a safe holiday season and was able to spend some time with your families. If you have not visited the lodge in a while, come by and see the changes that have been made. New road sign, numerous TV s to watch your favorite sports, and more. We will be concentrating even more on building membership. My ask of you continues to be Sign One Member. The new year brings in preparations for the Lodge Board of Officer elections. Show your fraternal pride and consider running for a position. If you are interested talk with a Board of Officer to see what it is all about. Wow, great job Hope Meeks. Thank you for stepping up taking on the position of Entertainment Chair. When you see her in the lodge, let her know. Happy New Year! Hope everyone had a merry Christmas. We want to thank everyone who purchased tickets on the Moose blanket. The blanket was won by Debbie Keesee. A great time was had by all the children at lunch with Santa. Thank you, Sheila Layne and Connie Hensley for all your efforts to make this a great success. And a special thank you to Santa for coming to see us. For the month of January, we will be doing a bake-less bake sale. Letters will be sent out and posters posted with details. Due to snow the paint day has been rescheduled to Sunday, February, 10th at 2 pm. Please let a board member know if you are interested. Space is limited. Look to February s book for more upcoming events.
