Pro-Am Class Entry Fee: $50.00 Winner Takes all Prize Money Open to Western, Hunter, Country, or English Divisions Professional Rider: Exhibits the horse at a Walk, Trot/Jog, Canter/Lope in the first direction. After all gates are performed the horses will be asked to come to line up in center ring and the Professional Rider will dismount. Amateur or Junior Rider will ride the horse in the second direction and will be asked to perform a Walk, Trot/Jog, Canter/Lope. Upon completion of the second direction the Amateur/Junior Riders will be asked to come to center ring and line up, and the class will be completed. Horses will be judged on the quality of performance and against the class specifications from each division. 50% based on the performance of the Horse with the Professional rider and 50% based on the performance of the Horse with the Amateur/Junior rider. To be judged on manners, performance, suitability as a Hunter, quality and conformation. USEF Rule AR139-AR142 Liberty Entry Fee: $50.00 Winner Takes All Prize Money Open to Purebred and Half Arabian Horses Horses must be shown without tack, equipment, artificial appliances or appendages. A two-minute time limit will be allowed for each horse competing. No more than two handlers per horse are allowed in the ring at one time. Handlers will lead horse to designated marker. Time and music will start when halter is removed. Time will expire at the signal of the timekeeper; at this time handlers have two minutes to retrieve horse or it will be eliminated from the class. While at liberty, the horse may perform at any gait, horses may perform tricks within their 2 minute time at liberty to count towards their performance score. Handler(s) shall not touch the horse with whip or ride the horse at any time from entrance into the show ring until after the expiration of the time limit. Horses are encouraged to exhibit Arabian presence. The use of a standard halter show whip is allowed. Each entry will furnish music for their performance, that must be marked with the horse s name, and entry number. If the exhibitor does not supply music, the show committee reserves the right to select appropriate accompaniment. The judge will score each horse individually. The scoring system is from 1-10 in five categories: type, presence, animation, movement and performance, with a possible high score of 50. These classes are not USEF-Rated or AHA approved classes for points. The Show Committee shall handle all disputes and inquiries and their decision shall be final. Entries will be limited to the first 15 entries received per class. Winner Take All Prize Money. Prize Money to be the total of entry fees paid per class. Example: 7 horses entered at $50 each totals $350 in prize money.

GENERAL INFORMATION AHA MEMBERSHIP STATEMENT EACH COMPETITOR (THIS INCLUDES AT LEAST ONE RECORDED OWNER AND ALL TRAINERS, DRIVERS, RIDERS, HALTER HAN- DLERS, COACHES AND THE PERSON(S) SIGNING THE ENTRY BLANK) IN AN ARABIAN HORSE ASSOCIATION RECOGNIZED ARABIAN DIVISION, AT THE TIME OF ENTRY INTO A COMPETITION, MUST SUBMIT A COPY OF A VALID AHA MEMBERSHIP/COM- PETITION CARD, JOIN AHA OR PAY AN AHA SINGLE EVENT MEMBERSHIP FEE PER COMPETITOR. WHEN AN AGENT SIGNS FOR THE OWNER AT AN AHA RECOGNIZED COMPETITION, BOTH THE OWNER AND THE AGENT MUST BE MEMBERS OF AHA OR PAY THE AHA SINGLE EVENT MEMBERSHIP. SINGLE EVENT MEMBERSHIP IS NOT ACCEPTABLE AT THE AHA REGIONAL OR NATIONAL COMPETITIONS. EXHIBITORS IN WALK-TROT CLASSES ARE EXEMPT FROM AHA MEMBERSHIP REQUIREMENTS AT QUALIFYING COMPETITIONS, BUT MUST HAVE AN AHA MEMBERSHIP WITH COM- PETITION CARD AT THE AHA REGIONAL AND NATIONAL COMPETITIONS. EXHIBI- TORS IN LEAD LINE CLASSES OR PARENTS/GUARDIANS SIGNING FOR MINORS ARE EXEMPT FROM AHA MEMBERSHIP REQUIREMENTS. (BOD 5/12) ADMISSION TO RING/HEADERS - No person will be permitted to enter the ring except participants in the class, judges, show officials and their assistants. Attendants and grooms may enter the ring only when summoned by order of the judge. AMATEUR OWNER FAMILY DEFINITION - An Amateur Owner Class is one in which every contestant is an Amateur and the rider or driver is the Owner or an Amateur Member of the owner s family. Family includes husband, wife, parent, step-parent, child, brother, step-child, sister, halfbrother and sister, aunt, uncle, niece, nephew, grandmother, grandfather and in-laws of the same relation as stated above. AMATEUR OWNER HORSE REGISTRATION REQUIRMENTS - 1) Leased horses may not be shown by the lessee in Amateur Owner classes, unless the lessee and the lessor are members of the same family. 2) Horses with combined ownership are NOT allowed in Amateur/Owner classes unless all owners are members of the same family. 3) Horses registered in farm/ranch/syndicate/ partnership or corporation name may not be shown in Amateur Owner classes unless the family is the sole owner of the farm. Corporations or farms with multiple owners, which are not of the same family as defined by USEF rules, are not eligible to exhibit horses in Amateur Owner classes. ARENA INFORMATION The Lyttle Cow Palace is 105 X 236 with sand and loam footing. The Outdoor Warm Up Arena is 105 X 250 with sand and loam footing. CANCELLATION OR SUBSTITUTION OF ENTRY To encourage early entries, the management agrees to cancel and refund all fees for any horse not fit to show provided written notice is given to the Show Secretary on or before the close of entries. After the closing date, a partial refund of entry fees an/or stall fees are subject to Management s decision and may be considered for any horse suffering from illness or injury upon the presentation to the Show Secretary PRIOR to the start of the show, by a written request for a refund from the exhibitor and a veterinarian s certificate. No refunds will be considered for requests received after the start of the show. No substitution of horses will be permitted except as provided in USEF GR 911. CRUELTY AND ABUSE - USEF GR839 & AR105 WILL BE STRICTLY ENFORCED AT ALL AHA RECOGNIZED COMPETITIONS. DISCIPLINE - Exhibitors are warned that any act of discourtesy to the officials of this show on the part of the owner/lessee/trainer/groom/rider/driver will disqualify the horse from adjudication. The management reserves the right to remove a horse, owner, lessee, trainer, groom, rider or driver from the show without being liable for compensation or damages. 14.

GENERAL INFORMATION DISQUALIFICATION - Any horse doctored in any way, artificially, improperly or unfairly prepared or tampered with before entering the show ring will be disqualified. If it is ascertained that any exhibitor has made or caused to be made, any false statement in regard to any animal or article exhibited or if any exhibitor shall attempt to interfere with the judges in the performance of their duties, he or she shall be excluded from competing, or exhibiting. In case any animal is disqualified, the winner of the next succeeding prize in the class shall take the prize that has been awarded to such disqualified animal & the lowest prize in the class shall go to the reserve number. DOGS - Dogs may be brought to the Show Grounds, but must be on a leash AT ALL TIMES. This rule will be strictly enforced. Owner assumes all liability for pet animals. DRUGS & MEDICATIONS Horses at recognized competitions are subject to examination, which may include, physical, saliva, urine or blood tests or any other test or procedure at the discretion of said licensed tester. The exhibitor is to advise the Show Steward (in writing) of all drugs administered within one hour after administration or one hour after the Steward returns to duty if administration is at a time other than during competition hours. The official Drugs and Medication Report Form is available from the officiating Steward. DRUG FEES CALIFORNIA DRUG FEE A mandatory $5.00 fee per horse is due for the California State Drug testing. USEF DRUG FEE For every horse participating in any competition recognized by the USEF, a $16.00 Federation Fee will be collected per horse ($8 shall be an Equine Drugs and Medication fee to provide for research, inspection, and enforcement of rules regarding use of medications and drugs) The following classes are exempted from payment: (1) lead line; (2) exhibitions; (3) games & races, (4) classes for 4-H members, (5) walk trot and academy classes (academy classes are classes limited to horses used regularly in a lesson program), and (6) USDF Introductory Level Tests, Pas De Deux and Quadrille classes; however these classes are not exempt from the Drugs and Medications Rule itself. FARRIER - The farrier will be available on the grounds during all scheduled sessions FIRST AID There will be an EMT on the grounds during all scheduled sessions of show. FOOD Food services are available on the grounds for breakfast and lunch. Early morning hospitality is available next to the show office. Friday evening exhibitor appreciation pizza night. And there will be a Saturday night BBQ Information and tickets will be in your exhibitor packets. GATE RULE It is the responsibility of the exhibitor to be sure that his/her horse is at the gate on time. Class calls must be considered a courtesy only. No protests will be upheld on public address system malfunction. HALF ARABIAN/ANGLO ARABIAN COLTS/STALLIONS - Half Arabian & Anglo Arabian stallions registered with AHA or which have been issued an AHA CPAR Permit (Canadian Partbred Arabian Register) are permitted to compete in the AHA PERFORMANCE CLASSES for Half-Arabian & Anglo-Arabian horses. HEADGEAR All juniors riding in Hunter Seat Equitation sections must wear properly fitting protective headgear while riding in the designated schooling and exercise areas, the show ring and while jumping anywhere on the competition grounds. Harness must be secured and properly fitted. Any rider violating this rule must immediately be prohibited from further riding until such headgear is property in place. Any exhibitor may wear protective headgear (ASTM/SEA) in any division or class without penalty from the judge. 15.

GENERAL INFORMATION INDEMNITY AND NON-RESPONSIBILITY CLAUSES - All entries are accepted with the understanding that the GOLDEN GATE ARABIAN HORSE ASSOCIATION and the SONOMA COUNTY FAIR AND EXPOSITION will not be held responsible for any loss, damage or injury to any horse exhibited or any article of any kind. All horses shall be under the control and direction of the Show Committee but solely at the risk of the exhibitor, who will be responsible for any loss, damage or injury to any person, animal or property occasioned by him, his agents or employees, or by an animal owned or exhibited by him, and shall indemnify the GOLDEN GATE ARABIAN HORSE ASSOCIATION INC. and the SONOMA COUNTY FAIR AND EXPOSITION, Santa Rosa, CA against any and all loss, damages and liability thus occasioned, including but not limited to any & all legal costs, including attorney fees, which may be incurred as a result thereof. The submitting of an entry form to the Show Secretary shall constitute an acceptance by each person signing same of the provisions herein set forth. IDENTIFICATION NUMBERS - Every horse entered in the show will be assigned an identification number. It is important that the riders, drivers and handlers in all classes wear correct numbers. INSURANCE ADVISORY Due to the number and quality of the horses at this show, we urge each exhibitor to verify their liability insurance coverage and their livestock mortality coverage, with their own insurance carrier(s). Be sure your coverage is in effect. The Golden Gate Arabian Horse Association, its members, agents, employees, and volunteers accept no responsibility for losses sustained or caused by any exhibitor. JUDGES - If for any reason a judge fails to attend this show or perform his/her duties, the Show Committee reserves the right to substitute a judge for the one who is officially designated in the Prize list. It is a violation of USEF Rules to commit any act or make remarks during the show that are considered offensive and/or made with the intent to influence or cast aspersions on the judging. No one shall approach a judge with regard to a decision or at any time unless he first obtains permission from the Show Manager or Steward who shall arrange an appointment with the judge at a proper time/ place. JUNIOR EXHIBITORS - To be eligible, riders must not have reached their 19th birthday as of December 1st of the current competition year. The age of an individual on December 1st will be maintained throughout the entire competition year. Persons born on December 1st assume the greater age on that date. Junior exhibitors (18 year olds) will have to take out an adult membership with USEF and they must declare if they are an amateur or pro as defined by USEF. If they fall under the definition of a pro, then they can no longer compete in the junior exhibitor classes since they are no longer considered amateurs according to GR106, even though they are still by AHA definition a junior exhibitor. LOCATION OF CLASSES - The management reserves to the right to change the arena location of classes with proper notification to exhibitors. In case of inclement weather, location of classes may be changed. Exhibitors will be notified and changes will be posted in the show office. MAIDEN, NOVICE, LIMIT HORSES Classes are open to horses which have not won one/ three/six first place ribbons respectively, at Regular Competitions of USEF or CEF in the particular performance division. Status is as of the closing date March 20th). MOTORIZED VEHICLES (Golf Carts, Mopeds, 3-Wheel Vehicles, Mini Bikes) - Minors who do not have a valid driver s license which allows them to operate a motorized vehicle in the state in which they reside will not be permitted to operate a motorized vehicle of any kind, including, but not limited to, golf carts, motorcycles, scooters, or farm utility vehicles, on the competition grounds 16.

GENERAL INFORMATION of recognized competitions. Minors who have a valid temporary license may operate the abovedescribed motorized vehicles as long as they are accompanied by an adult with a valid driver s license. The parent(s), legal guardian(s), or individual who signs the entry blank as a parent or guardian of a minor operating a motorized vehicle in violation of this rule are solely responsible for any damages, claims, losses or actions resulting from that operation. Violations of this rule will be cause for sanctions against the parent(s), guardian(s) and/or trainer(s) who are responsible for the child committing the offense. Penalties may include exclusion of the child, parent(s), guardian(s), and/or trainer(s) from the competition grounds for the remainder of the competition and charges being filed against any of the above individuals in accordance with Chapter 6. Wheelchairs & other mobility assistance devices for individuals with disabilities are exempt from the rule. REMEMBER HORSES ALWAYS HAVE THE RIGHT OF WAY PADDOCK ARENA / WARM UP AREA There shall be no conduct in the paddock area, which disturbs or creates a hazard to horses or handler/riders. The will be no whips, noisemakers or other equipment device or objects allowed in the paddock area, which may disturb or create a hazard to horses or handlers/riders. (Exception: the show whip carried by handler or rider). Whips are to be no longer than 6 including snapper, lash, appendage. Small appendages (no more than 12 inches in length) of ribbon plastic, etc. are permitted. USEF Rule AR114.2. Spectators in the paddock area are prohibited. NO LUNGING IN THE PADDOCK/WARM UP RING DURING SHOW HOURS. REFUNDS AND CANCELLATIONS - Horses may be scratched from the show at the owner s option. Refunds will be considered for any horse suffering from illness or injury upon the presentation of veterinarian s certificate to the Show Secretary PRIOR to the start of said show. ALL REQUESTS MUST BE IN WRITING, ACCOMPANIED BY VETERINARIANS CERTIFICATE OR DOCTORS LETTER, AND MUST BE RECEIVED BY THE SHOW SECRETARY PRIOR TO THE START OF THE THIS SHOW. Refunds of entries are subject to the show Management s decision. REGISTRATION PAPERS REQUIRED - A copy of the current registration papers showing proof of ownership (front & back of old papers; front of new papers) MUST be submitted with the entry form at the time of making an entry. The copies will not be returned in your show packet. RV & CAMPERS PARKING Hookups are available on the Fairgrounds with electrical and water only. Any vehicle attached to fairgrounds utilities, including barn electrical, is considered subject to this fee. RV parking permits will be issued by the show office and must be displayed in the vehicle windshield at all times. Spaces are first come, first served basis. Spaces are limited. RULES - This Horse Show is conducted in accordance with the rules of the US Equestrian Federation, Chapter AR, Arabian, Half-Arabian & Anglo-Arabian Division. The official Rule Book of USEF will prevail for this show. This Prize List is based on rules of the current Rule Book; any changes or corrections of rules will automatically become a part of the Prize List. Each participant in this show is responsible for knowledge of and is subject to the USEF Rules. EVERY CLASS OFFERED HEREIN WHICH IS COVERED BY THE RULES AND SPECIFICA- TIONS OF THE CURRENT USA EQUESTRIAN RULE BOOK WILL BE CONDUCTED AND JUDGED IN ACCORDANCE THEREWITH. The Show Committee shall decide questions not covered by USEF Rules or AHA Rules and its decisions will be final. SCRATCHING OR CANCELING CLASSES - As a COURTESY to the Gateman, Announcer & Show Office, the exhibitors are requested to notify the Gateman and Show Office when it is necessary to scratch or cancel a class entered. This courtesy will enable the Show to run more efficiently. STABLING INFORMATION Every horse entered must pay a full stall fee, a day stall fee or a trailer in/grounds fee. Stalls are available on first come, first served basis, at $100.00 (which includes one bale of shavings provided by show). A great deal of consideration is given in the 17.

GENERAL INFORMATION assignment of stalls. All groups should send their entries together in the same envelope or indicate which exhibitor s will be sending their entries in separately in order to avoid confusion. Please list stabling request and details on the STABLE WITH line on the entry form. When permanent stalls are filled, no more will be available. Post entries will be stabled in available stalls as assigned by the barn manager. Each animal must be assigned to a separate stall (exception: broodmares with suckling foals). Horses must be placed in the stalls assigned. Stalls are 10 X 10 permanent stalls with full doors. No changes will be permitted without permission of the Barn Manager. Stalls will be available FRIDAY at 8:00 a.m. preceding the show and must be vacated before noon on Monday following the show. Those planning to arrive before Friday 8:00 a.m. MUST make special arrangements with Barn Manager. EARLY ARRIVALS Any exhibitor planning to arrive before the Friday date must contact Barn Manager. Early arrivals will be charged $20.00 per night per stall (applies to Wednesday & Thursday). Unscheduled arrivals will not have bedding in their stalls. Be advised: The Lyttle Cow Palace will not be available for use until Friday March 30, 2018. Tack rooms in the barn area have cement floors and lockable doors. Groom/Ready stalls are the same as horse stalls in the barn area. Because there may be a shortage of stalls and/or tack rooms, the assignment of tack and ready/groom rooms will be made using the following ratios: 1-6 horses: 1 tack room & 1 ready/groom room 7-9 horses: 2 tack rooms & 2 ready/groom rooms 10+ horses: 3 tack rooms & 3 ready/groom rooms SHAVINGS One bale of shavings will be provided for each stall. Additional shavings may be ordered. Contact Show Office DAY STALLS are available at the rate of $50.00 per day, including one bale of shavings. Day stalls are only for one-day use and must be vacated within 1 hour of the last class of the day. Day stalls will be assigned to a single specified barn. Day stalls will not be assigned to barns with regular assigned stalls. TRAILER IN/GROUNDS FEE $20.00 per horse per day will be charged for any horse showing out of the trailer that does not pay for a stall. Any exhibitor found to be utilizing any stall, when paying a trailer in/grounds fee, will be charged the DAY stall fee. SHOW OFFICE AND REGISTRATION - Registration at the Horse Show Office by the exhibitor is required. The Horse Show Office will be open on Friday, March 30st at 12:00 noon & remain open until 7:00 p.m. During show time, show office will be open at 7:00 a.m. daily and remain open until last class of that day. The show office will close 30 minutes after the last class on Sunday. Access to the grounds for EVENT PARTICIPANTS ONLY will be through Gate #7 at Aston Avenue. GATE CODE WILL BE: #4857. PARKING Sonoma County Fair reserves the right to charge for public parking. PUBLIC PARKING will be in Brookwood Lot and access to grounds will be through Brookwood Gate. 18.

GENERAL INFORMATION USEF MEMBERSHIP STATEMENT Life, senior active and junior active members shall be eligible to participate in all classes at Regular Competitions, Eventing Competitions at the Preliminary Level, or above and Combined Driving Competitions at the advanced Level, Dressage, Reining and Vaulting Competitions and Endurance Rides. A nonmember may participate as a handler, rider, driver, owner, lessee, agent, coach or trainer at Regular Competitions, Eventing Competitions, Dressage Competitions, Reining Competitions and Combined Driving Competitions upon payment of a $45 Show Pass Fee. Participants in the following classes are exempted from the Requirements of this rule: 1) leadline; 2) exhibitions; 3) games and races; 4) classes for 4-H members; 5) walk trot (exception Friesian performance FR222) and academy classes (academy classes are classes limited to horses used regularly in a lesson program); 6) USDF introductory level tests, pas de deux and quadrille classes; 7) NRHA Endorsed Reining Competitions; 8) Opportunity classes; 9) citizens of other nations who have proof, in English of current membership in good standing of their own National Federation, 10) USEA beginner novice division; and 11) assistant handlers in Dressage Sport Horse Breeding Classes. STORM WATER POLLUTION PREVENTION (SWPPP) In an effort to eliminate the opportunity for pollutant runoff entering the storm drains on Fairgrounds property, the Sonoma County Fair, in cooperation with the Regional Water Quality Control Board, has developed a Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP). The Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan has identified potential sources of run-off pollution. This notice is to inform you where these areas are and what changes we have initiated in an effort to stop pollutants from entering the storm drains. It is your responsibility to share this information with the Show participants. Animals may only be washed in designated wash racks or areas. Contact fair staff to confirm designated areas.
