General Information/Election Process Montana State USBC Hall of Fame Application 1. Applications for the Montana State Hall of Fame must be submitted by the candidate s local association. Following selection of the current year s inductees, the submitting association will be notified as to the disposition of the application: qualified (still active), on file (held for future consideration), or inactive (insufficient qualifications). Inactive applications will be returned to the submitting association. a. Qualified candidates may be elected into the Hall of Fame in one of three categories (detailed below): Bowling Performance, Meritorious Service, or Youth Bowling. b. A combination of qualifications is preferred in at least two of the three categories; however, excellence in a single category may be sufficient for election to the Hall of Fame. 2. Each year, the Hall of Fame Committee will determine the number of candidates to be inducted from the available, qualified candidates. Only qualified candidates may be elected into the Hall of Fame. No more than five (5) candidates will be inducted in any year (excludes Pioneer Division). 3. All applications are submitted to the Hall of Fame committee Chairperson. The application will be screened to determine whether the candidate meets the minimum eligibility qualification criteria for induction. Any candidate identifying information such as names or references to current or former associations will be redacted before committee scoring packages are copied. 4. Scoring packages containing applications for all qualified candidates are sent to each committee member. Committee members will have ten days to score each application on a 0 to 10 scale for each of the three possible categories 5. Scoring sheets are returned to the committee Chairperson for final score compilation. Once compiled, committee members will be notified and provide addition input on qualified candidates if requested. Final inductee selection will be made based on the number previously determined. Once inducted into the Hall of Fame, inductees cannot be elected into any other Hall of Fame category (this includes the Pioneer Division). 6. The Chairperson will notify inductees of their selection. Induction will take place at the banquet held in conjunction with the Montana State USBC Annual (spring delegate) meeting. 7.
