The definition of commitment is the state or quality of being dedicated to a cause, activity, etc. We are committed to having the best school year ever! We will continue to be committed throughout the year to ensure we are living our mission of knowledge plus character pave the road to college and beyond. 8th Annual Winter Program Our annual Winter Program is this Friday at 8:30am. Join us for a joyous and musical time, as our scholars perform some winter selections that are sure to warm your soul! Scholars are to wear their "Holiday Best" SAVE THE DATE Saturday, January 26 @ 7:05pm

Join MCP - 38th and Milwaukee Wave at our first MCP 38th Street Night! Discount tickets are available for this night of fun and sports. Order forms will be sent home with your scholar today! Parent information: Uniform If your scholar wears boots(snow-boots, Timberlands, fashion boots, etc) to school, students must change into uniform permitted shoes for class. Donations We would appreciate any donations of scholar's uniform pieces that no longer fit. We will accept your pants, skirts, and polos. Please make sure they are clean and free of holes. Field Trips Date: 12/20/18 Depart 38th St: 9:00am - 11:00am Destination: AMF West Lanes Grades: 1st - Falcons, 2nd - Gophers, and 7th Juilliard & Wildcats Uniform: MCP Uniform Winter Weather Winter Recess If the outdoor temperature is below 18 degrees F with the wind chill, scholars will be staying inside for recess. However, if the temperature permits, we will be sending scholars outside for recess, even on cold snowy days. Please make sure your child has the appropriate cold weather attire, such as hats, mittens, gloves, boots and a winter jacket. Thank you!

Spirit Wear We are Excited MCP Spirit Gear is back! Milwaukee College Prep Families can now represent Milwaukee College Preparatory with Fashionable Spirit Gear! Spirit Gear includes: Zip Up/Pull Over Hoodies, Long/Short Sleeve Parent MCP T- Shirts, and sweat pants. These items come in Youth and Adult sizes. To place an order select your item(s) on the order form and submit the form with with payment to the School Office. (Forms are being sent home in Tuesday folders. Extra forms are available in the front office.) Order Forms are due by Tuesday, December 18th! Estimated delivery date is January 24th

Scholar Athletic Conference Date: Thursday, 12/13 Location: MCP Lola Rowe North 1350 W North Ave MCP 38th vs. MCP North Girls @ 4:10pm Boys @ 5:10pm Here is a reminder of MCP Athletic Event expectations. All scholars accompanied by an adult may attend the basketball game. Adults cost $2, Scholars are $1, and Seniors and Children under 3 are FREE. - If a scholar is here for the game without a supervising adult they will be sent to camp and charged $3.50 per hour. - Middle school camp scholars will be able to attend the basketball game with a supervising camp staff member. They will not be charged the $1 entrance fee. - Camp ends at 5:30pm even if the basketball game is still going. If your scholar is not picked up by 5:30pm you will be charged $1 per minute. We will have concessions available for purchase so remember to bring your money. Go Northstars! MCP Job Opening Immediate need for an energetic, friendly person to work in Food Service. Excellent way to earn extra income! Must be dependable and able to lift up to 55#s on a regular basis. Work is fast-paced with a 5.5 hour/day work schedule when scholars are in school.
