We were entertained with song, facts and costumes, well done. Congratulations also to the recipients of our Clifton Gold Awards, at the assembly. YEAR 6 CAMP The excitement is building in the Year 6 classroom as it is now less than a week before they go on their camp for four days. The students, Mr Kelly and the parent helpers are putting together the final preparations and planning to ensure that this camp becomes a highlight for these students like it has for many others before them. FACTION ATHLETICS CARNIVAL Only 2 weeks to go to our big events Field and Distance Events - Wednesday 21 March Faction Athletics Carnival - Friday 23 March Help Wanted - With the sports carnivals coming up we are once again asking for help. There is a real need for helpers on the long and triple jump pits on Wednesday morning 21 March, as well as helpers with judging and handing out ribbons on the Friday. Please contact our office if you can help. P&C Catering Tent The P&C will again cater at the Faction Athletics Carnival on Friday 23 March with lots of goodies for sale. They require donations of food: PP and Yr 1: bring a piece of fruit (to be cut up and placed on a platter, e.g. apple, grapes, strawberries, watermelon). Yr 2 Yr 6: Sweet or Savoury (e.g. cakes, slices, tarts etc. In partnership with the CHAT Committee, we ask that you make heathy choices and be mindful of nut and other allergies. If you feel what you have donated may contain these ingredients please indicate on the packaging. There will also be a sausage sizzle for sale by the P&C on the day. No Lunch Orders available from The Central Lunch Bar on Friday 23 March. Monday, March 12 We are raising funds for Leukaemia as part of World s Greatest Shave on Monday March 12. For a gold coin donation the students may colour or make their hair wacky for the day. Mrs Kaitani is actually taking part in the challenge and will have her hair clippered. Mr Gates also said that he d support Mrs Kaitani and would cut his hair to add to the sponsorship total. I m sure there are many businesses out there that would be interested in sponsoring Mr Gates. P&C TENT Clifton Park PS Athletics Carnival Friday 23 rd MARCH 2018 The Clifton Park P&C is requesting donations of Goodies for our Sports Day. This is a great picnic in the park type of day to sit back and watch our children compete in their events. One way that you can significantly assist is by helping with the P&C food and drink tent. Please help by providing the following: PP and Year 1 families: to bring a piece of fruit that can be cut up and placed on a platter. Apples, Oranges, Watermelon, Strawberries, Grapes, Stone Fruit etc. Year 2 6 families: to provide a Sweet or Savoury selection. Cakes, slices, tarts, etc. There will also be a sausage sizzle and drinks. In partnership with the school s CHAT Committee, we ask that you make heathy choices and be mindful of nut and other allergies. We kindly thank you for your participation and help. We look forward to seeing you all at our main Sports Day on Friday. Clifton Park P&C CLIFTON PARK P&C EASTER RAFFLE The Clifton Park P&C is requesting donations for our 2018 Easter Raffle. A box will be located in the front office for donations to be placed in. Tickets will be sent home with students on Monday 12 th March. The Easter Raffle will be drawn at the Year 1 Assembly on 29 th March. Tickets are in booklets of 5 @ $2.00 per ticket. Extra tickets will be available near the P&C information board.
