Volume 5 December 2018 Nomads News Official Newsletter of Nomads Golf Club Perth Western Australia Fr Editorial by Fred Meijer Next Game Rockingham GC 13 th January 2019 Cost: $55.00 (+ $10 for Money Draw + $5 Raffle Draw) Registration Closes on Wednesday, 9 th January 2019 Well, there you have it. The first game of the 2019 playing season, including the Gold Cup, the 2018 Peter Thomson Cup/Plate Finals and AGM has come and gone. Congratulations to the winners in all the competitions. Congratulations and best wishes also to David Bartlett taking over the Captain s hot seat for the ensuing year. As David stated in his Captain s Corner, not much has changed on your committee other than the Fr -Editor slotting into the Vice-Captaincy and Bryan Quinn stepping into the Equipment Officer s portfolio. I will still remain as Editor of Nomads News and look forward to bringing you a news, views and reviews, on a regular basis throughout the year. As is customary, the Vice- Captain also carries the responsibility to arrange and organise the annual Charity Day event and planning for the 2019 edition of this event is well underway. I will soon be contacting a few of you to assist with various tasks. No man is an island entire of itself. Each man is a piece of the continent, a part of the Maine. Any man s death diminishes me, because I am involved in mankind. Therefore never send to know for whom the bells tolls; it tolls for thee. In closing, the Fr -Editor would like to wish you and your family a very Merry Christmas and a Prosperous New Year. Until Next Month Happy Golfing PS. Registration for our game at Rockingham on January 13 th is open. Please ensure you register your intentions on our website before Wednesday, January 9th

Enjoying the Camaraderie of likeminded people through the medium of golf. 2. Raise fund for those less fortunate than ourselves. 3. Raise funds for Junior Golf. Also, by concentrating on the things above I hope to grow the club and foster a happy, positive atmosphere for all involved in and around Nomads golf. As always, the committee values the members input. Please submit any ideas or criticism in writing to me or a member of the committee. Finally, I hope everyone has a great Christmas and New Year s.
