This experience is achieved only through the 450 + volunteers who give their time and energy to help us deliver a top notch event. This year marks the start of a three year build up to the 2020 Grand Final when we will, for the third time, host the world. This is my first year as General Manager and I look forward to meeting and working with all of you this year and for years to come. I ve been involved as a staff member or volunteer with ITU every year but one since 2001. Our organizing committee, stakeholders and volunteers have coordinated yet another spectacular world class triathlon this year and our work has started as we gear up to host the world once again for the 2020 ITU World Triathlon Grand Final. At this 2018 event you will see elite, inspiring and newcomer performances and we appreciate you being here to share their stories. Media MUST have a parking pass that was provided in your media kit. You will need to show it to the EPS officer at the Groat Road exit to Mayfair Golf Club, and then again to the Bike section leader at the staging area, Curtis or Lisa. Media Access & Parking at Hawrelak Park THESE ARE THE ONLY WINDOWS OF TIME YOU WILL BE ALLOWED TO ENTER AND EXIT THE PARK. Friday, July 27th 4:00pm-4:30pm Saturday, July 28th 2:00pm-2:30pm Inside the park, you will take an immediate left turn down the park road to find your parking area. We will have a parking volunteer there to direct you. Your vehicle must stay in the park until the race is over. Friday July 27th 8:30pm Saturday July 28th 5:30pm If you need to exit the park with your vehicle due to an emergency, please reach out to Jacqui Sundquist 780-860-8374 and she will contact the command centre in charge of opening and closing roads. Command centre will check the race progress at the time and manage it from there.
