Classes and participation restrictions W21, M 21 (World Cup, EOC) Participation restrictions according to IOF World Cup rules: Each federation may enter a team of 14 competitors up to 7 women and 7 men and unlimited number of team officials. In each competition each federation may enter: - individual events max 6 men,6 women/country (the organizing Federation 8 men / women + up to 10 men / women competitors according World Cup 2010 Special Rules) - relay event max 2 male teams, 2 female teams, only the better team will count (the organizing Federation can enter up to 5 male and 5 female additional national teams according World Cup 2010 Special Rules) 8th-15th February 2010, Miercurea Ciuc, Romania 4

According to EOC rules: In each competition each federation may enter max 6 men, 6 women/country + current European champions: Sprint Tatiana Vlasova, RUS and Tomas Löfgren, SWE Middle distance Tatiana Vlasova, RUS and Andrey Gruzdev, RUS Long distance Tatiana Vlasova, RUS and Erik Rost, SWE W 20, M 20 (JWOC) Each federation may enter a team of 14 competitors up to 7 women and 7 men and unlimited number of team officials (JWOC). In each competition each federation may enter: - individual events max 6 men, 6 women / country - relay event max 2 male teams,2 female teams,only the better team will count W 17, M 17 (EYOC) In each competition each federation may enter max 4 men, 4 women /country W/M 35, 40, 45, 50, 55, 60, 65, 70, 75, 80, 85 (WMOC) Open for everybody, the class depends on age. The start order for the first final race will be drawn at random. The start order for the second final race will be reverse of the start order in the first race. WMOC medals will be awarded according to the sum of the result of the two races. 6. Visa 7. Terrain type 8. Finish area Romania is a member of the European Union, so the most European countries need no visa to enter Romania. Middle, long distance: deciduous forest and partly open areas; altitude 950-1100 m a.s.l. Sprint distance: mostly open area with a small pinewood forest area; altitude 950-1000 m a.s.l. Relay: pinewood forest and partly open areas; altitude 1200-1300 m a.s.l. For the individual events the finish area will be located near the Miercurea Ciuc Odorheiu Secuiesc main road, 15kms from Miercurea Ciuc (46 20'40.62"N 25 38'51.93"E) For the relay competition the finish area will be in the biathlon stadium at Harghita Bai (46 22'58.52"N 25 38'0.73"E) 9. Training possibilities A training competition will be organized 30kms from the competition centre in the weekend before the competitions (6 th -7 th Feb. 2010). Accommodation (types and fee) Accommodation can be booked through our online entry system. Electronic punching system SportIdent is used as electronic punching system. Competitors may use either their own badge or they can borrow one from the organizer (no additional costs). 18. Media services 19. Transport Media center is located in the competition center at Sapientia University in Miercurea Ciuc. Representatives of media are kindly asked to register by email to klauscsucs@yahoo.de until January 31, 2010 and also to inform the organizers of their status (TV, radio, writing journalist, photo). Press center provides media representatives with internet, fax and copy services. We will provide transport: - from Bulgarian World Cup rounds to Miercurea Ciuc, 7 th of February 2010 35 EUR/person - from Henry Coanda International Airport, Otopeni, Bucharest to Miercurea Ciuc 20 EUR/person - local transport from accommodation to competition areas 5 EUR/person/day - excursion during the rest day free of charge - from Miercurea Ciuc to Henry Coanda International Airport, Otopeni, Bucharest 20 EUR/person Please book the transport you need via The local transport schedule will be published on our website. We can assure you that you have transportation from your accommodation to all official programs. The travel from/to Bucharest is around 5-6 hours. We would like to ask you to book your flights back home in the afternoon of the 15 th of Feb. (if it s possible). So you can stay till the end of the banquet.
