Join us and learn how this form of fitness is changing lives for so many people living with chronic conditions from prevention as well as management side, but also for those who simply want to make the most of their walk simply by adding poles! Health & Wellness Tai Chi Instructor: Hua Gao Learn this ancient Chinese form of exercise at your own pace. Tai-Chi uses gentle flowing, century-old movements to relax and strengthen muscles. Tuesdays 10:15 am 11:15 am Mindful Moments Movement meditation with musical experiences Instructor: Anna Nieminen Discover and practice mindful breathing, body scanning/sensing and dynamic (active) meditation through mindful walking, stretching, swaying/flowing and other gentle modes of movement, all while exploring self awareness & expression through musical experiences including simple listening/appreciation exercises and music-making with both energizing and calming instruments. Mondays (July 9 December 10) Pole Walking Instructor: Cristina Luta This instructor led program is full body workout that combines cardio and resistance training. By using the specialty poles you learn how to walk more effectively and efficiently to aid in the burning of calories and strengthening of your body! Nordic Poles will be provided. It is easy to do and can be done by people of all ages. Benefits includes improved asleep, reduced stress, increased energy, and helping you achieve or maintain a healthy weight.
