Artistic Dance News No 13 July 2014 Dear Members and Friends of Artistic Dance!. The WADF World Stage Dance Division Championships were held on the 7th and 8th June in Novi Sad, Serbia at the Hotel Park, which provided all the necessary facilities. With around 500 enrolments, it was the ideal start for the Stage Dance Division, for their 1st World Championships to be held in a friendly and familiar atmosphere. During the weeks leading up to the Championships Mother Nature provided many difficult circumstances preventing up to 300 Serbian dancers from making the trip to Novi Sad due to the dramatic floods further South. This did not make things easy for our experienced organizer, Gordana Orescanin, who was ably assisted by DO-Serbia (Dance Organisation Serbia) and their President, Mrs. Natasa Jelaca Vojvodic. The organizing team wisely decided to open the Championships for the general public to come in for free, in return it was possible to purchase an aid package to support the Serbian Red Cross in providing blankets, medicine, food and other necessary items for those who had lost almost everything by the floods. Several hundred aid packages were sold during the two days of the Championships. Our focus now moves on to the next WADF World Championships to be held in Liberec, Czech Republic, from 29th October 2nd November. Dancers from at least twenty (20) countries are expected with many exciting enrolments. It promises to be one of the largest dance events ever with dancers participating in over 1000 disciplines, on two dance floors, in all WADF Dance Divisions. See you all in Liberec. WADF International Adjudicator Seminar Novi Sad 6th June 2014 The WADF International Championship Adjudicator Seminar was held in the Park Hotel Novi Sad, Serbia. Invitation to an INTERNATIONAL ADJUDICATOR SEMINAR WADF Members are hereby invited to send candidates to an International Championships Adjudicator Seminar. This Seminar is open to all National Adjudicators who have previous experience in adjudicating dance competitions and have passed a National WADF Adjudicator Seminar or has otherwise been qualified by their WADF National Artistic Assembly. This Seminar is free-of charge but any candidate wishing to take the examination to become registered as a WADF International Championship Adjudicator will be required to a 50.00 (Euro) License Fee. The license is for life and does not have to be upgraded and there is no yearly License Fee. This Seminar will be held in: Liberec, Czech Republic on Tuesday 28th of October in CENTRUM BABYLON HOTEL starting at 14:00 hours. First Notice of the 2014 WADF AGA 18:00, Tuesday 28th October Hotel Babylon, Liberec, Czech Republic Proposals must be received at the Head Office by 30th September. Deadline for Amendments to proposals is 14th October. The Final Agenda will be circulated on 21st October. Supportive Members are welcome to attend the meeting as Observers. Active Single Members have one (1) basic vote. Active Branch Members have two (2) basic votes. All Members who have registered their dancers for WADF Licenses will receive additional votes according to the number of current up-to-date Licenses that have been issued. One (1) additional vote per twenty (20) current Licenses.
THE WADF hereby invites all members to enroll competitors for the WADF World Championships in Liberec 29/10-02/11 2014 We are proud to announce that over 1000 disciplines will be included in the programme, divided over 5 days in 2 and sometimes 3 halls. 20 countries are expected with the highest number of enrolments to date for a WADF Championship event. It promises to be one of the largest dance events ever. All disciplines are online, please follow the link (copy and paste): http://worldartdance.com/activities/calendar Enrolment Closing Date: The closing date for enrolments, made by WADF Members only, is 1st October 2014 Enrolment Fees: 10 Euro for one discipline, 20 Euro for two disciplines, 30 Euro for three disciplines or more. The starting fees will be collected by the Organiser in accordance with the WADF Competition Rules & Regulations. Active Members may enroll dancers for all disciplines. Supportive Members may only enroll dancers for Beginners and Open Class competitions. Competitor Licenses: Beginners and Open Class competitors do not need to have a Competition License. Competitors for all other competitions must hast a current Competition License. The license fee for 2014 is 10 Euro, valid until 31st December 2015 must be paid before any enrolments can be made.
