TREASURE VALLEY CLASSIC SEPTEMBER 29-30, 2018 FORD IDAHO HORSE PARK, NAMPA IDAHO The Boise Saddle and Jump Club (BSJC) is pleased to welcome you to the Treasure Valley Classic. This horse show will showcase an expansive slate of hunter, jumper and equitation classes for all levels of horses and riders and will spotlight a $500 Hunter Derby, $500 1.0m Welcome Stake, $250 Mini Hunter Derby and several $250 Hunter/Jumper classics at varying heights. Our association is dedicated to expanding and improving not just our regional hunter/jumper community, but also the sport as a whole. The event will be held at the Ford Idaho Horse Park, one of the Northwest s premiere horse facilities with over 110 acres and the ability to house 850 horses in addition to adjacent lodging, RV accommodations and nearby dining options. Families can take a break from the show and visit downtown Boise, just minutes away from the horse park and home of Idaho s State Capital, endless hiking and biking trails as well as many other activities for both cultural and outdoor enthusiasts. I agree to waive the right to the use of my photos from the competition, and agree that any actions against the Federation must be brought in New York State. Federation Release, Assumption of Risk, Waiver, and Indemnification This document waives important legal rights. Read it carefully before signing. I AGREE in consideration for my participation in this Competition to the following: I AGREE that the Federation and Competition as used herein includes the Licensee and Competition Management, as well as all of their officials, officers, directors, employees, agents, personnel, volunteers and Federation affiliates. I AGREE that I choose to participate voluntarily in the Competition with my horse, as a rider, driver, handler, vaulter, longeur, lessee, owner, agent, coach, trainer, or as parent or guardian of a junior exhibitor. If I am a parent or guardian of a junior exhibitor, I consent to the child s participation and AGREE to all of the above rovisions and AGREE to assume all of the obligations of this Release on the child s behalf. I represent that I have the requisite training, coaching and abilities to safely compete in this competition. I AGREE that if I am injured at this competition, the medical personnel treating my injuries may provide information on my injury and treatment to the Federation on the official USEF accident/injury report form. RULES, REGULATIONS & INFORMATION 1. EQUINE HEALTH AND WELFARE A. Any horse on the show grounds with a fever of unknown origin or of suspicious origin must be reported to Horse Show Management and to the Show Veterinarian. It is always better to error on the side safety. Isolation stalls will either be available on the grounds or at a local veterinary practice if the need arises. B. Please take the time to review equine hygiene practices. Please convey the importance of this to your equine caretakers for their daily routines. 2. RELEASE, ASSUMPTION OF RISK, WAIVER AND INDEMNIFICATION GR908 A. This document waives important legal rights. Read it carefully before signing. I AGREE in consideration for my participation in this Competition to the following: I AGREE that the Federation and Competition as used above includes all of their officials, officers, directors, employees, agents, personnel, volunteers and affiliated organizations. I AGREE that I choose to participate voluntarily in the Competition with my horse, as a rider, driver, handler, vaulter, longeur, lessee, owner, agent, coach, trainer, or as parent or guardian of a junior exhibitor. I am fully aware and acknowledge that horse sports and the Competition involve inherent dangerous risks of accident, loss, and serious bodily injury including broken bones, head injuries, trauma, pain, suffering, or death ( Harm ). I AGREE to hold harmless and release the Federation and the Competition from all claims for money damages or otherwise for any Harm to me or my horse and for any Harm of any nature caused by me or my horse to others, even if the Harm arises or results, directly or indirectly, from the negligence of the Federation or the Competition. I AGREE to expressly assume all risks of Harm to me or my horse, including Harm resulting from the negligence of the Federation or the Competition.I AGREE to indemnify (that is, to pay any losses, damages, or costs incurred by) the Federation and the Competition and to hold them harmless with respect to claims for Harm to me or my horse, and for claims made by others for any Harm caused by me or my horse while at the Competition. I have read the Federation Rules about protective equipment, including GR801 and, if applicable, EV114 and I understand that I am entitled to wear protective equipment without penalty, and I acknowledge that the Federation strongly encourages me to do so while WARNING that no protective equipment can guard against all injuries. If I am a parent or guardian of a junior exhibitor, I consent to the child s participation and AGREE to all of the above GR9 - PRIZE LISTS USEF 2016 provisions and AGREE to assume all of the obligations of this Release on the child s behalf. I represent that I have the requisite training, coaching and abilities to safely compete in this competition. I AGREE that if I am injured at this competition, the medical personnel treating my injuries may provide information on my injury and treatment to the Federation on the official USEF accident/injury report form. BY SIGNING BELOW, I AGREE to be bound by all applicable Federation Rules and all terms and provisions of this entry blank and all terms and provisions of this Prize List. If I am signing and submitting this Agreement electronically, I acknowledge that my electronic signature shall have the same validity, force and effect as if I affixed my signature by my own hand. 3. HORSE SHOW COMMITTEE AND MANAGEMENT A. The Horse Show Committee reserves the right to interpret all questions and conditions in regard to or arising out of, or incident to the show without claims for damages or recourse of any kind. All questions not covered in these Rules and Regulations shall be decided by the Horse Show Management; its decision to be final. B. The Horse Show Management reserves the right to limit entries in any class, section or division, to refuse, accept conditionally, or to cancel any entries, disqualify any riders or exhibitors, prohibit exhibition of entries, and cancel award prizes, without any claim for damages; to change any course, to add a dotted line, to cancel or combine any unfilled classes, or to reschedule classes, after due notice to exhibitors; to change rings or rotate judges; to change specifications in jumper classes as competition warrants. Every horse entered herein for competition will be under the control of the Horse Show Management, but the Show Management will in no case be responsible for any loss or damage that may occur, and it shall be a condition of entry that each exhibitor shall hold the horse show and the officials, employees, directors, officers, sponsoring entities of the horse show and the facilities at which the horse show is held blameless for any loss or accident to his horse(s), employee(s), or equipment which may occur from sickness, fire or other cause. 6. COMPETITION OFFICE HOURS A. Competition Days: Office opens one hour before the start of the first class and closes 30 minutes following the last class. Non- Competition Days: 9:30 a.m. - 5:00 PM 7. ENTRIES A. The closing date for entries of the Treasure Valley Classic Hunter Jumper show is September 17 th 2018. Entries received at the show will be charged a late fee of $25. Entries should be sent to the address shown on the entry blank. Checks should be made payable to Boise Saddle and Jump Club. Numbers WILL NOT be issued without a SIGNED OPEN CHECK/ and or Credit Card on file logged with the Horse Show Secretary. The entry form for each show must include the following: a. $50 Horse Deposit b. Horse name and description c. All mandatory signatures, including legal guardian in the case of a minor exhibiting 8. MAILING: A. Mail entries and fees to Brittany Tilden with checks payable to Boise Saddle and Jump Club Brittany Tilden C/O Treasure Valley Classic 6963 Belhaven Drive Boise, Idaho 83714 9. FEE SCHEDULE A. Mandatory schooling/office/grounds fee of $50. The arena will be available for schooling the day prior to the first day of competition. Please refer to schedule for schooling times and heights B. Post Entry Fee. Regular fees will be charged for all post entries plus a $25/ horse Post Entry Fee. C. A check returned for any reason will incur a $50 Returned Check Fee. D. Horses scratched from the show will be charged a $50 Scratch Fee. Horses scratched from the show before the closing date will receive a full refund. Scratching special classes AFTER 5PM the day prior to the class results in forfeiture of all entry fees. E. Non Showing Horse Fee: Non showing horses will pay a $25 nonshowing horse fee. F. Convenience Fee: all accounts closed with a credit card will pay a 5% per horse convenience fee 10. ADDED CLASS POLICY A. Please note that a $10 charge per class will be added for Day-of- Adds as we encourage riders/trainers to add classes the day prior at no charge to allow for more accurate scheduling. Day-of-Adds will be based on schedule availability and management approval. There is no guarantee that Day-of-Adds will be accepted. Featured Classes: Horses entering the same day may be required to go first and will pay the entry fee and a $10 post entry fee. 11. CAVEAT DUE TO UNCERTAINTY A. All Hunter Classics/Derbies with prize money require 4 entries to fill and complete or the classes may be combined or cancelled B. All Jumper Classes with prize money require 4 entries to fill and complete or the class may be combined or cancelled 12. ACCIDENTS INVOLVING COMPETITORS USEF GR1316.2 A. In the event of a fall/accident where the competitor is apparently unconscious or concussed, he/she is precluded from competing until evaluated by qualified medical personnel as defined in GR1211.5. If the competitor refuses to be evaluated, he/she is disqualified from the competition. 13. CHECK OUT A. Any horse show bills not checked out at the conclusion of each show will be assessed a $25 fee for check out. Any mistakes at check out must be resolved within 24 hours. Check your bills carefully. A 5% convenience fee will be applied to all credit card bills. 13

RULES, REGULATIONS & INFORMATION 6. TROPHIES, RIBBONS, PRIZE MONEY A. Ribbons will be awarded to eight place in all classes unless otherwise noted. Prize money will only be awarded to the recipient of record on the entry blank provided. Prize money will be deducted off entry fees at the conclusion of the event, and/or prize money checks will be mailed within 30 days of the conclusion of the event. Please confirm information on entry form is correct to insure prompt and accurate delivery of prize money. USEF GR: 1210..6. B. Hunter and Jumper prize money will be divided: 1st -30% 2nd-25% 3rd-20% 4th-15% 5th-10% C. A valid Social Security or Federal ID number must be provided 7. CHAMPION AND RESERVE CHAMPION TITLES A. Awarded for the sections indicated, provided at least three horses are shown in EVERY CLASS IN THE DIVISION. When two or more divisions are combined, only one Champion and Reserve Championship will be awarded. All over fence classes in each section will receive full points towards that particular Championship. 8. PROTECTIVE HEADGEAR USEF GR801.2 A. In accordance with GR801 It is compulsory for all persons at Federation licensed hunter, jumper or hunter/jumper competitions when mounted anywhere on the competition grounds, to wear properly fastened protective headgear which meets or exceeds ASTM (American Society for Testing and Materials)/SEI (Safety Equipment Institute) standards for equestrian use and carries the SEI tag. It must be properly fitted with harness secured. 9. FORMAL ATTIRE A. Scarlet, black or dark blue coat; white shirt with white stock, tie, or choker; white, buff, or canary breeches; huntcap, derby or hunting silk hat. Must wear protective headgear in accordance with USEF rules. NO EXCEPTIONS. 23. EQUITATION FORMAL ATTIRE A. Black, dark blue, dark green, or dark gray coat; white shirt with white stock, tie or choker, white, beige or canary breeches. Must wear protective headgear in accordance with USEF rules. NO EXCEPTIONS. 24. SCHOOLING A. Flatting open from 7:30 AM to 8:30 AM Saturday and Sunday B. Ticketed Warm-Up: Tickets should be purchased in the horse show office and are good for one round. Tickets are non-refundable. Ticketed classes require show attire. Ticketed Warm-ups are not permitted after your first division round. All lunging will be restricted to designated areas. Lunging will not be permitted in ANY ring areas at any time 27. STABLING A. 12 X 12 Box stalls with full doors are provided B. TYING TO TRAILERS IS PROHIBITED by the Idaho Horse Park. If you choose not to purchase a stall, you may hold your horse or keep it in a trailer between classes (not overnight). For safety and consideration, show management encourages all horses to have a stall. Stalls cost $25 per night. Tack stalls are the same prices as horse stalls. Stalls must be arranged through the Ford Idaho Horse Park in person when arriving at the show or by calling 208-442-3335 or at www.fordidahohorsepark.com. If you require shavings please order when making stall reservations. C. http://www.fordidahohorsepark.com/reservations.aspx 28. FEED & BEDDING A. No outside shavings or pellets are allowed, must be purchased through the Ford Idaho Horse Park. Exhibitors are responsible for cleaning their own stalls and must provide their own feed and buckets. B. Hay and grain will be available for purchase at local feed stores. 29. FARRIER A. Farrier will be on call, please check with the Show Office 30. DOGS USEF GR1301.6 A. Dogs are not permitted to be loose on competition grounds and must be held on a leash or otherwise restrained. Individuals must not lead dogs on a leash while mounted. Dog owners are solely responsible for any damages, claims, losses or actions resulting from their dogs behaviors. Dog owners failing to comply with this rule will be issued a Yellow warning card may be subject to penalty under Chapters 6 and 7.. Loose dogs will not be tolerated in the show ring area. The dogs will be impounded and the owner charged $100 that will be donated to the Humane Society 31. TRAILERS AND CAMPERS A. On-site RV spaces are available and include water and electric hookups. Make arrangements with the Idaho Horse Park office, 208-442- 3335 or on-line at www.fordidahohorsepark.com. Golf cart rental may be arranged through the Horse Park office. MOTORIZED VEHICLES USEF GR1301.7 A. Minors who do not have a valid driver s license which allows them to operate a motorized vehicle in the state in which they reside will not be permitted to operate a motorized vehicle of any kind, including, but not limited to, golf carts, motorcycles, scooters, or farm utility vehicles, on the competition grounds of licensed competitions. Minors who have a valid temporary license may operate the above described motorized vehicles as long as they are accompanied by an adult with a valid driver s license. The parent(s), legal guardian(s), or individual who signs the entry blank as a parent or guardian of a minor operating a motorized vehicle in violation of this rule are solely responsible for any damages, claims, losses or actions resulting from that operation. Violations of this rule will be cause for sanctions against the parent(s), guardian(s) and/or trainer(s) who are responsible for the child committing the offense. Penalties may include exclusion of the child, parent(s), guardian(s), and/or trainer(s) from the competition grounds for the remainder of the competition and charges being filed against any of the above individuals in accordance with Chapter 6. Wheelchairs and other mobility assistance devices for individuals with disabilities are exempt from this rule. 33. PARKING A. Will be available in all designated area. No auto parking allowed in the barn area and aisles MAP & DIRECTION TO FORD IDAHO HORSE PARK Interstate I84 Westbound from Boise Take Exit 38 and continue right approximately one-half mile to the traffic light. Continue straight through the traffic light and drive one-quarter mile and turn right into the Ford Idaho Center's parking lot. Interstate I84 Eastbound from Caldwell and Ontario Oregon Take Exit 38 and turn left and drive approximately one-half mile to the traffic light. Continue straight through the traffic light and drive one-quarter mile and turn right into the Ford Idaho Center's parking lot Franklin Road (Meridian, Idaho) Continue west on Franklin Road past Star Road approximately three quarters of a mile and turn right into the parking lot (entrance past the Service Entry). This parking lot has the most handicapped parking spaces. State Street (Highway 44), Chinden Boulevard, and Cherry Lane Continue west past Star Road for one mile and turn left onto Ford Idaho Center Blvd. Continue south (three miles Highway 44, 2 miles Chinden Boulevard, and one-half mile from Cherry Lane.). After crossing the railroad tracks turn left at the second entrance into the main parking lot. 14 14
