Hõbemägi Event & Sporting Regulations Rotax Nordic Challenge 2018 ROUND 3 Lange Motokeskus These are the main event regulations of ROTAX NORDIC CHALLENGE 2018 ROUND 3, that takes place in Lange Motokeskus, Lange village, Kastre parish, Tartu county 62115, Estonia, from 30 th of August till 1 st of September. REGULATIONS The final text of these Sporting Regulations shall be the English version, which will be used, should any dispute arise as to their Interpretation headings in this document are for ease of reference only and do not form part of these Sporting Regulations. The language written and spoken shall be English. ARTICLE 1 - ORGANISATION The Series and its events shall be run in accordance with the FIA International Sporting Code ISC (The Code) and its appendices, the FIA and CIK-FIA official Bulletins, the CIK-FIA Technical Regulations, the General Prescriptions applicable to CIK-FIA International Karting Events, Article 3 International Karting Regulations and International Karting Licenses for Drivers & Code of Driving Conduct, Rotax Nordic Challenge 2018 Sporting and Technical Regulations and the Supplementary Regulations of each Event of the Series. 2.3 Dates (detailed time table attached) 29 th August free practice (organized by Lange Motoskeskus), Paddock gates open *to be announced 30 th August free practice (for race participants only), Reception Office open 31 st August Official free practice, Technical Scrutineering, Race tire collection, Drivers briefing, Qualification, Heat 1 and 2 1 st September Warm up, Pre-final, Final, Super Final, Podium 2.3.1 Team setup in paddock TENTS Each team is responsible for their own equipment to safety set up team tents. - It is prohibited to drill in the tarmac surface, there is no gravel surfaces. Every team has to provide their own weights for tent setup. Penalty for drilled holes in the tarmac 300 EUR per each damage. We kindly ask for the teams to send in the size of their tent or awning by 25 th of August: marketing@333.lv USED TIRES Each team must have a box for used tires. Rotax Nordic Challenge Round 3 entry Open Date: 1 st August 2018 - Closing Date: 27 th August 2018. 2.6 Entrants Applications Applicants must hold a valid International or National Entrants Licenses and the necessary authorizations (visa) issued by their ASNs Affiliated to the FIA. 2.7 Amounts of fees Admission fee for all classes for the event is 160,00 EUR (Friday Saturday). Late Entry is 185 (If entry is accepted). Free practice day 40,00 EUR on Thursday (30 th AUG) Free practice day 35,00 EUR on Wednesday (29 t AUG) 2.8 Entry Restriction: Drivers are allowed to enter one class /category only 2.9 Categories: According to Rotax Nordic Challenge Sporting regulations 2.9.1 Rotax Micromax 2.9.2 Rotax Minimax 2.9.3 Rotax Junior Max 2.9.4 Rotax Senior Max 2.9.5 Rotax DD2 2.9.6. Rotax DD2 Masters 2.10 Licenses & Visa According to Nordic Challenge Sporting Regulations; drivers have to have license that is issued by an ASN which is member of CIK/FIA. For all RNC classes International license grade C or National Kart license is required.

Overall awarding in all 6 categories TOP3 drivers will be awarded individually from race series organizer. ARTICLE: 3 ORGANISER S SUPPLEMENTARY PROVISIONS 3.1 Dry tires Dry tires must be purchased at Reception office of the race. Transfer pre-payment based invoice can be made till 24.08.2018. by requesting an invoice to email info@333.lv. Afterwards payment will only be possible in cash, on site of the event. TIRE PRICES - 150 EUR set MOJO C2-162 EUR set MOJO D2/6,0-174 EUR set MOJO D2-180 EUR MOJO D4 3.2 Wet tires Wet tires can be purchased on drivers own choice - 180 EUR MOJO W3-150 EUR MOJO W3 (4,5/4,5) 3.3 Marked direction Marked direction must be adhered to for all tires at all time, karts / Drivers with wrong mounted tires will be 5 second penalized but allowed to race in the heat 3.4 Tyres used for free practice Additional tires used for free practice (same production date as race tires) can be ordered from reception office. For order email: info@333.lv 3.5 Warm up Warm up the tires are free of choice. 3.6 Petrol - Rotax Micro, Mini Junior, Senior, DD2, DD2 Master a) It will be each competitor s responsibility to purchase their own petrol until the end of the race weekend. The place of purchase the petrol is compulsory. Mandatory location: Circle K, Võru 250, 50105 Tartu, Estonia; https://goo.gl/maps/k6uyxpjjugk2 b) The Petrol must be unleaded commercial pump fuel, the octane is up to drivers choice (95 or 98) c) The oil mixture ratio shall be 50:1 (2%) d) It is forbidden to add any liquid and/or power-boosting chemicals in the petrol. e) At any time the volume of the fuel in the tank must be over or equal to 0,5 liters f) The Scrutineer, following a decision of the Stewards, has the right to change/replace any driver s petrol at his discretion, at any time. Case 1 - Should this be the case the Drivers will be asked to enter servicing park without petrol in his/hers petrol tank, where the fuel will be added, at the cost of 3 liter for the Driver/ Entrant. The added petrol will be the petrol as stated in the supplementary regulations of the event. Case 2 - Petrol will be changed without warning, at the cost of 2.5 liter for the Entrant / Driver. Changed/Replaced petrol will be the petrol as stated in the supplementary regulations of the event.
3.7 Transponder All drivers will be supplied with transponder from Thursday at the registration, but drivers are free to use their own transponders. Time keeping will be available from Friday, Free practice. ARTICLE: 4 THE EVENT - Rotax Nordic Challenge Round 3 at Lange Motokeskus The Rotax Nordics Challenge Round 3 2018 will consist of a non-qualifying official practice, qualifying, heats (to qualify for pre-final and final ), pre-final, final and super final. 4.1. Numbers on karts The numbers on the karts should be black (without shadow and/or color stripes) on a clear Yellow Back-Ground, and they shall be at least 14-15 cm high and have a 2 cm thick stroke and represented with an Arial type or similar font. The competition number shall be bordered by a yellow background of 1 cm minimum. They must be fitted before free practice and must be clearly visible during the whole race event (damaged numbers must be replaced regularly) on both front and rear and on both sides towards the rear of the bodywork. The number plates fitted at the back of the kart shall be plane and have rounded corners (diameter of rounded corners 15 to 25 mm) with 22 cm sides. The plates shall be flexible and made of opaque plastic, and they shall always be visible (fixation without a possible displacement). 4.2. Free practice The Free Practice on Thursday before race event All Drivers before taking part in free practice, must have passed the sporting checks, and has numbers and names on the kart. The free practice is only for Entered Drivers 4.3 Official practice a) The time table will state the time; transponders are mandatory and it has to be fixed on the lower part of the back of the kart seat. The practice will commence in groups of even and odd numbers, or by organizers to choose. Every group will have their practice according to the timetable. Transponder must be mounted. 4.4 Qualifying a) Qualifying sessions will be 10 minutes timed. b) Drivers in each class will be divided in groups depending on number of registered drivers in each class. c) The Stewart shall inflict a penalty on any Driver having caused an Incident, blocking or dangerous behavior in time qualifying, Article 2.24 CIK-FIA International Karting Regulations General Prescriptions and Article 9.2.1 of the Sporting Regulations and including Code of Driving Conduct. i) The final classification of Qualifying will be drawn up as follows: - If there is only one series: the grid will be drawn up in the order of the fastest time achieved by each Driver. - If there are two series and if the fastest time achieved in the slower series is not more than 101% of the fastest time achieved in the faster series: the classification will be determined by the order of the fastest times achieved by each Driver. - If there are two series and if the fastest time achieved in the slower series is more than 101% of the fastest time achieved in the faster series : 1st place goes to the fastest time of the 1st series (fastest time overall), 2nd place to the fastest time of the 2nd series, 3rd place to the 2nd fastest time of the 1st series, 4th place to the 2nd fastest time of the 2nd series, 5th place to the 3rd fastest time of the 1st series, and so on. If no time is taken into account for a Driver, he shall take the start at the end of the grid. If several Drivers are in that situation, their starting positions shall be decided by drawing lots. If a Driver stops in the Repairs Area or in the Servicing Park, it will be final. He/she will not be allowed to restart. 4.5 Heats During the race event there will be held Heat 1 and Heat2; points according to the national organizer of the challenge. 1st 0 pts, 2nd- 2pts, 3rd 3pts, etc. 4.6 Pre-final A starting grid of max 34 drivers. Score points 34, 33, 32, 31, 30...to last place finisher. Non-finish: minus 5 points of the last finisher. In equal point situation - highest position to highest qualified driver
4.7 Final A starting grid of max 34 drivers. Score points 55, 52, 50, 49, 48, 47...to the last placed finisher. Non-finish: minus 5 points of the last finisher. 4.8 Superfinal The starting grid of the Superfinal race will be determined by the results of the final race. Pre-grid for Superfinal is on START / FINISH area. The length of the Superfinal race will be the same as the final race. The points for the Superfinal are awarded as follows: 55, 52, 50, 49, 48, 47...to the last placed finisher. Non-finish: minus 5 points of the last finisher. The final rankings of the event will be determined by the results of the Superfinal. Definition non-finish: a non finisher is a participant that was physically part of the starting grid at the start of the warm up lap, even if the participant couldn`t reach the green flag or green lights due to a mechanical failure. For ROTAX MicroMax, MiniMax, Junior Max, Senior Max, DD2 and DD2 Masters in Rotax Nordic Challenge the distance or duration is depending on national regulations.
