Jr. Governor: Carl Bundy Page 2 Happy New Year! The Holidays are always a time to reflect on the year past and the new year that is already upon us. I think about all the good times we had as "members" in 2007, but we really are one big family! There are so many folks that make this lodge what it is and I am proud to be a part of it. Just a few shout-outs and big THANK YOU's go out to * Lisa Curtis and her Penalty Golf Officers for another fun and successful season that wrapped up in November. * The Murder Mystery cast. Throw me a bone! * The Well's, The Elliot s, The Bushue's and all their helpful elves for a great Kid's Christmas Party. That's what it is all about! We have some younger Officers getting involved. I would like to thank all of you more experienced members for taking the time to help us along. We could not do it without you! Senior Regent Jamie Wielt Page 3 Well 2007 has come and gone so quickly. I hope everyone had a Merry Christmas and brought the New Year in safely. I want to thank Pat Panarese and all the women who helped out with the wonderful meals they prepared for us during the last two months. Our Thanksgiving Dinner is definitely one of my favorite meals! January and February are filled with great meals as well. January is Educational Advancement month and our chairman is Chris Lewis. She will be serving Pork Loin on Friday, January 4 th and BBQ Country Style Ribs on Friday, January 18 th. February is Moosehaven month. We will be serving a Mexican Buffet on Friday, February 1 st and a Beef Pot Roast Dinner on Friday, February 15 th. Please come down to the social quarters and enjoy what these women are cooking up for you. We would like to thank everyone who came to the lodge for the Dinner Mystery Theater. It was really a lot of fun. The cast put a lot of time and work into putting it on for you and it turned out very well. A special thanks to Wayman Harlan who worked hard behind the scenes that night. We will be having a cast party with free Jukebox on Saturday, January 26 th around 6PM. Anyone who is interested in watching the Dinner Mystery Theater again and seeing some great pictures that were taken that night is welcome. We will also be having a Joint Enrollment on Saturday, January 26 th before the cast party, starting at 5PM. The Women of the Moose were asked to serve coffee and hot chocolate at the annual Christmas Parade and Gayle Lenz, Valerie Bundy and I had a great time doing it. Everyone we served was very appreciative of us and thanked us many times for being there. Thank you Gayle and Val for your help. Also, a big thanks to Aleta, for getting it all ready for us to serve. 2007 Bill Flynn Penalty Golf Lisa Curtis 2007 President Hello again! I decided to write one more article to finish up my tenure as president. Our end of the year party was held back on Nov. 10th. It was a small gathering but we had a good time. I want to thank David Gray for cooking the steaks and Joy Bullard for the shrimp. I'd also like to thank Joyce Page 4 Lowery, Lisa Damron, Debi Martin, and Cheryl Gates for all their help. I couldn't have done it without you guys. We had a 50/50 drawing which was won by Jamie Wielt. We also raffled off a Miller Lite golf bag which was won by Joy Bullard, but I think Kelly Morgan managed to snag it away from her. We gave away five free memberships for next season and the lucky winners were Carl Bundy, Joe Gentles, Roger Nance, LeeAnn Stanley, and Murel Tedhams. We were also able to donate $200.00 to the kids Christmas. So I want to say thank you to all of you that helped make this a successful season! Your new officers for the 2008 season are Betty Oliver- President, LeeAnn Stanley- Vice President, Joy Bullard- Secretary/Treasurer, and your judges are David Gray and Debi Martin. I hope everyone will come back out and help support them. Again I want to say Thank You for making this a great season! Hope everyone has a great Holiday Season and I'll see you next year. 2007 Pheasant Hunt Jan. 12th Meet at 8 AM Joe Glatz & Bill Rosebloom Chairmen www.mtvernonmoose.org The above URL will get you to the Mt.
