BIRDIES BENEFITING YOUR GOLF CLUB S JUNIOR PROGRAM Birdies for Charity is a fundraiser based on the number of birdies made by the golf professionals of the Champions Tour at the 2013 Montréal Championship. Donors will commit to making a donation for each birdie made by the golf professionals of the Champions Tour in the three rounds (Friday through Sunday) of the tournament. As a result, they will contribute to supporting young golfers who are benefiting from the Golf Québec Player Development Program. Solicit your family and friends to raise funds for your junior program Example: In a group of 20 persons contributing $0.10 per person per birdie, with a total of 800 birdies, the total collection would be $0.10 x 20 persons = $2.00 $ x 800 birdies = a total amount of $1,600.00. 40 persons $0.10 per birdie = $3,200.00. Golf Québec is committed to supporting the sport development program of your club or school. In addition, each donor will also get a tax receipt for the total value of their donation. How to proceed: Get your donors to fill-out a donation form. Submit the duly filled-out donation forms to Golf Québec by fax 514 252-3346, to the attention of François Roy, or by mail. Golf Québec will forward these forms along with the donation cheques to the Fondation Les Légendes du Golf. CONTEST GUESS HOW MANY BIRDIES WILL BE MADE! To make this program even more appealing, the Montréal Championship will sponsor a contest in which all donors will get the opportunity to guess the number of birdies that will be made in the Montréal Championship. The participant who will guess the exact number of birdies will get a prize to be determined by one of the event s partners. Initiate Passions, Build Dreams
Initiate Passions, Build Dreams GOLF QUÉBEC S PLAYER DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM (PDP) Golf Québec s PDP is sub-divided into several initiatives enabling young golf fans to develop their skills in a stimulating environment. Many programs are offered in various supervised settings including the Golf in Schools, CN Future Links, the PGA of Québec s golf-études, as well as the regional and provincial team programs. In terms of events, our Introduction to Competition Tours (ICT) and Regional Junior Tours (RJT) provide children with the opportunity to learn to play golf in compliance with the rules in a friendly yet competitive context. Through the Golf in Schools program, students of close to 400 elementary schools and 40 high schools are introduced to the game of golf in their Phys. Ed. classes. Over 75 golf clubs are using the CN Future Links program. The PGA of Québec s golf-études program is now integrated in seven regions. Through these initiatives, Golf Québec promotes the interest of children to participate in a sport activity and contributes to reducing the dropout rate while shaping golf s future and developing new participants.
