The minutes from the November meeting were read by members present, Moved by Graeme Monds and second by Lorraine Aitken that they be true and correct. Treasurers Report: No Report. Business Arising: Security Cameras. To be installed hopefully by the end of the month. Delegates Report: The delegates report was given by Andrew Broadbent. Andrew reported from the delegates meeting which was held was a hook up for the delegates. State President/Executive Commissioner: 2018 Victorian Sporting regs inform all clubs how club days are to be run and who they can have etc.

Sporting regs for 2019 any clubs that want changes to race meetings please put them as soon as possible. ie: Girls classes Junior sprint classic ( so we don t need to get permission from KA before the meeting it is all done). Different classes to suit your club days. Question asked by Ballarat if they could start by green light. This is not in the manual and should have been put in as a rule change. Congratulations to Go Kart Club of Victoria on a successful City of Melbourne race meeting of approx 301 entries. State Technical Coordinator: Need to get Karter s to ensure they are putting wheels on correctly had a couple come off at the weekend. Using a rattle gun is not good too much torque for the bolts. State Scrutineering Coordinator: KA100 2 x O ring in the carburetor. Weight for the TaG classes changes. Can the clubs please have their club scrutineer convey this to their members. 1. The wheels coming off are a concern. 2. Safety wires on exhaust must be on, number of karts need to be clear to read on the kart correctly. State Track Inspector: Nil report. State Officials Coordinator: (please see attached paperwork) Report 14 DPE VCS Report 15 City of Melbourne Number of competitors with penalties for not slowing down, very hard to slow down the karts after the formation line. Reports accepted: Moved Albury Wodonga. Second: Wimmera. Agenda items: Item 1. GKCV is seeking approval from Victorian Clubs to run an Endurance event at Go Kart Club of Victoria Todd Road, Port Melbourne on the Saturday 15 th December, 2018. It will comprise 3 events as follows. A TaG endurance race for Seniors 4 hours A endurance race for Juniors one hour A endurance race for Cadets forty minutes. All events to be run in the Clockwise direction at Todd Road using the full track of 1004 metres.

Re Fueling Club to speak to Tony Manson re regards to this as he has concerns with this. Moved: GKCV. Second: Albury. Carried. Item 2. 2019 Race calendar discussion. Discussion on club days- Do clubs want to re structure these dates of the last Sunday of the month Only have club days x per year?? Have a club day prior to a race meeting?? We need to have the KA calendar to assist us with the planning of KV s calendar. Trevor s calendar are clubs happy with the structure of the club days etc.? GENERAL BUSINESS: Option tyre any news with this yet. -- No news yet from KA. Ballarat Delegate: State Cup: the club was wondering why the club that has held the biggest Country series to date, cannot hold a state cup. The state voted the track capacity with the reason being that there were no oversubscribed classes. Sending people home etc. Should clubs wish to change the criteria need to put this forward as an agenda item. Wimmera Delegate: Goulburn Valley judge of facts that Trevor completed have they all been received for accreditation? All done just a couple are required to forward more information. A Grade 2 steward can they accredit judge of facts at race meetings? Yes, as long as they have a current working with children s card (not a receipt). Rochester Delegate: Informed delegates that they will not be running the 2019 State Cup. They will go behind Bairnsdale on the list. Bairnsdale to be offered the State cup for 2019. Ballarat Delegate: Timing officer accreditation. Discussion on relieving accredited person.

The accredited person trains up anyone wishing to do timing once they have knowledge of the system they will be assessed for accreditation. The timing position is just that, no other duty is to be held with it at a race meeting. Many thanks again Andrew for a thorough and complete report. Delegtes report was moved by Russell Frost and second by Graeme Monds. Correspondence In & Out: Correspondence was moved by Geoff Medew and second by Tony Correa. General Business: Geoff Medew: Drop down bumpers. Can the karters who have one still use them. Yes. Track map with stewards. C & D. OK used it. Andrew & Lorraine. Thank you for getting their heads around getting the computers working great. AGM. Notice Express? nominations. AGM. Staggered nominations. Nomination forms or open Geoff moved a motion that we nominate another driver for the Gippsland Awards. Andrew Broadbent: Re Bairnsdale State Cup. A discussion on the State cup for 2019. Andrew gave his ideas how we/them should help/run the event. Question re tyre for club day. (Hard) option. Lorraine Aitken: End of year photos or trophies. Only 5 keys left. 2018 last C & D s change it to another name. (Planning). A discussion on this item will be held. Everyone can have some ideas. Yamaha S & J motors (engines) last club day meet. GIPPSLAND GO KART CLUB; November club meet FEATURE will be the YAMAHA S & J classes. So dust them off, tune them up and BE THERE. All karts must comply with KA. Rules.
