Youth ACTIVITIES Simon Says Director Hi! I m Sarah Kanitz and I am thrilled to introduce myself as your Youth Activities Director for the summer of 2014! I have been employed with Kenwood Country Club mainly as a lifeguard for the past couple of years, but you may have also seen me checking your coats, leading Kid s Camp, helping coach swim team or even as many of your club mascots such as the lobster at Lobster Bake, a dancing grape or even helping Santa deliver presents to all of the children as an elf right around Christmas time! I am excited to announce that this summer I will be hosting a children s activity for each hour following swim and dive practices. Duck Races Peanut Butter Ping-Pong Bottle Bowling These activities will be held on the pool deck, in the pool or beside the pool deck depending on what activity is scheduled for that day. We re primarily looking at ages 5 and older. Some of the games we will be playing will be Lover s Leap, Happy Camper Scavenger Hunt, Goin Nuts for Donuts and the classic fourth of July game, Greasy Watermelon! Along with these games, we will be making crafts such as picture frames, bird houses and one day we will even be learning how to make homemade ice cream! These are just a few on a long list of activities! Greasy Watermelon Ninja These events are meant to help you hard working parents have a few minutes of total relaxation while your children are off having a great time doing crafts or playing a variety of games. I am eager to begin these activities and I am open to your suggestions or ideas. Please send me an email to share your thoughts! See you this summer, Sarah Kanitz sarah.kanitz@yahoo.com Musical Chairs Pterodactyl Trivia Games Page 12
