WELCOME Promoter Gian Enrico Pica, introduces the first edition of the Ben Weider Worldwide Classic San Marino. Starting with the 2018 IFBB Professional League San Marino Pro on June 1-3, the IFBB Professional League promoter will include a Pro Qualifier Event. These Pro Qualifier Contests will be open to ALL amateur athletes worldwide regardless of their federation affiliations. This is the ONLY WAY TO PROFESSIONAL STATUS WITHIN THE IFBB PROFESSIONAL LEAGUE. The only contests the IFBB Professional League will recognize for Professional Status are the Pro Qualifiers associated with the IFBB Professional League; no other contests will be acknowledged. The IFBB Pro League Pro Qualifiers are the ONLY way to compete on the IFBB Professional League stage, including the OLYMPIA! The Ben Weider Worldwide Classic is a prestigious international Open Contest; an amateur version of the famous Mr. Olympia Pro competition, started by the inspirational concept of bodybuilding pioneer and promoter Joe Weider in 1965. BEN WEIDER Ben Weider, who with his brother Joe brought bodybuilding into the international spotlight by organizing professional competitions like Mr. Olympia and by grooming stars like Arnold Schwarzenegger. As a founder and longtime president of the International Federation of Body Builders, Mr. Weider (pronounced WEE-der) spread the gospel of competitive bodybuilding, which he dreamed might one day become an Olympic sport. In 1965, the brothers organized the first Mr. Olympia contest, which was held at the Brooklyn Academy of Music and quickly became the professional counterpart to the Mr. Universe competition. In Mr. Schwarzenegger, whom they called the Austrian Oak, the brothers found their first star. The film Pumping Iron, released in 1977, brought the contest and the sport to a general audience. In 1980, the brothers created a competition for women, Ms. Olympia, which generated its own celebrities. Ben joined the business, and in 1946, the brothers founded the body builders federation to sponsor a new style of competition in which contestants, rather than bending iron bars or snapping chains, would lift weights and display their bodies so audiences could appreciate the balance and proportions of their muscular development. 4

LOCATION The Republic of San Marino was founded in 301 A.D. and is the most ancient European Republic. An enclave situated in central Italy, 15 km from the Romagna Riviera, the Republic sits at 700 meters above sea level on Mount Titano, a prominence which gives the first hint of the presence of the Central Apennine Mountains. PARTICIPATION This competition IS OPEN TO ALL ATHLETES AND FEDERATIONS Worldwide. The Ben Weider Worldwide Classic Pro Qualifier Open Contest advises you that participation in this competition is UNLIMITED, therefore athletes are not required to be nominated to compete in this competition. REGISTRATION The Official Athlete Registration will be conducted on Thursday and Friday: Friday 01 June 2018 Weigh-in 10:00 am 7:00 pm at the Palacongressi di Rimini, Via della Fiera 23 - Rimini (RN) Italy Remember that all athletes will have to produce their payment at the registration. IMPORTANT INFORMATION Ben Weider Worldwide Classic Pro Qualifier Contest competitors permit to crossover into all classes. POSING MUSIC All posing music must be on an audio CD only. The posing music must also be at the start of the CD. Each competitor must affix his name on the CD for easy identification. The use of profane, vulgar and offensive language is strictly prohibited in the posing music. An official will check the tan of all athletes backstage and if the tan comes off by simply wiping, the athlete will be told to remove the tan before going on stage. 9

COMPETITORS INFORMATION Athletes will be given a goodie bag and wristband at the registration on Friday 1 June 2018. This wristband has to be worn during your whole stay and will allow you in and at of the venue during the weekend. There is a special athlete seating area close to the stage and backstage. The athletes coach will be given a backstage pass. PLEASE NOTE: There will be a limited amount of extra coach passes available at the registration and they can be purchased for 50. Those passes will allow the official to go in and out of the venue during the weekend and will give access backstage and the athlete allocated seating area. JUDGES IFBB Professional League is reminded nominations of the judge panel. VISAS A valid passport is required to enter Italy. There are no border formalities. Anyone visiting Italy with a visa can enter San Marino. EU-country citizens do not need to obtain a visa. All other countries should consult the Italian Embassy in their country to determine if they need a visa. All National Federations could ask for an Invitation letter either to the Championship Organizer or IFBB Professional League. The invitation letter does not mean you are granted your visa. The IFBB Professional League and Championship organizers are not responsible of attendants visas. An athlete, who requested and received an invitation from the IFBB Professional League Head Office or the Organizing Committee of an IFBB Professional League sanctioned event for visa purposes and used this visa to unlawfully stay in the host country or any other country, will be subjected to disciplinary proceedings and measures.
