Conditions of Entry Rules: This event will be run according to the current Speedway New Zealand General Rules & Regulations. Car and driver: All competitors must hold a valid Speedway NZ licence and all vehicles must comply with the current Speedway New Zealand Rulebook and Supplementary Regulations. E2-3 TECHNICAL INSPECTIONS WILL APPLY Sound: A noise level of 95dba will be enforced and measured in line with the SNZ rulebook. Electronic lap scoring will be used. All vehicles must use a transmitter and any without will not be permitted to race. Wellington Family Speedway does not provide transmitters. Transmitters to be working. Raceivers: You must have your own functioning Raceiver in accordance with the rules, and please bring spare batteries with you. Smoking is prohibited in the dummy grid area at all times. Numbers: We are pleased to advise that you will not need to change your regular racing number Stickers: Event sponsor decals may be affixed to each entered car. Raindate: In the event of a rain out, the event will be rescheduled to 7 th & 8 th December. Format: The promotion reserves the right to alter the format and closing date after consultation with officials if deemed necessary. You will be notified of any such changes. Entries close: Friday 9 th November Late entries may be accepted, accompanied by a non-refundable $50 late entry fee as per rule M4-6-1. This is in addition to the standard $50 entry fee. Entering: Informal entries (phone, text etc) will be accepted prior to written entries being received. All entries must be accompanied by a track clearance (see the back of this form). Change of plans: In the event that you have submitted an entry and are unable to attend, you must notify the promotion in accordance with the rules. Festivities: Alcohol cannot be consumed in the pits during or after the race meeting. The clubrooms will be open after the conclusion of racing. Practice: 3:30PM 4:30PM Drivers Briefing: 5PM Grand Parade / Pre-Show: 6:15PM Racing Starts: 7PM Meeting Format & Timeline Qualifying: Cars will be split into two groups (dependant on entry numbers). Competitors will accumulate points over three (3) heats and the top twelve (12) cars from each group will proceed to the finals of the North Island Championships on Saturday Night. Qualifying Heats will be 12 laps each. Run Off: In the event of a tie in points in any group, the tied vehicles from the group will be required to take part in a run off to determine who proceeds to the finals for the championship. In the event of a finalist being unable to compete in the North Island Championships the following night, the next highest scoring competitor from the disabled vehicles group will move up. Saturday 1 st December 2018 Pit Gates Open: 1:30PM Vehicle Checking: 1:30PM 3:30PM At the track. Thunder Zone: All finalists to park their car in the Thunder Zone located on the dummy grid between 4PM 4:30PM sharp. Drivers must be with their cars. Teams are encouraged to have any posters or merchandise available here during this time. Drivers Briefing: 4:45PM Grand Parade / Pre-Show: 6:30PM Racing Starts: 7PM Repecharge: One repecharge will be held to fill the last two spots on the starting grid for the NI Superstock championship. Competitors that did not qualify on Friday night will be drawn into two groups
for the repecharges. The starting order for these races will be based on the points from qualifying night (highest points scorer to the front). The first and second place getters will proceed to the finals. North Island Championships Final Heats: There will be three heats, each of which will be of 15 lap duration. Points will accrue over these three heats. The top points scorer will be the winner. Thunder Valley Shootout: Any competitor that hasn t qualified for the NI Superstock Champs Finals will be eligible to compete in the Thunder Valley Shootout. This will be raced over three 12 lap heats. The next top 26 cars after the finalists are found will compete for the Thunder Valley Shootout.
