Covering 61 acres of land and located on the Dubai Bypass Road, the complex is the largest sporting facility in the city and has seating for 15,000 spectators. It boasts two 50-metre pools, both with moveable floors to allow conversion to 25-metre pools, catering for long or short course events, as well as a diving pool. In a city already full of superlatives, the building s striking architecture will ensure global recognition of the venue as a memorable and iconic facility in Dubai not only for Olympic standard swimming and diving events but also as a truly world class multi-sports arena. The completion of the venue, which also boasts fifteen hospitality boxes, six hospitality suites, the Royal Box, a Ladies Box, a 60-seater media conference room and a media centre with space for 194 journalists, is a source of great satisfaction to the Dubai Municipality and the Dubai Sports Council. ATHLETE MEDICAL SERVICES First aid will be available at the competition venue during training and competition for divers. Lifeguards will be on-site at the competition venue to provide first aid during training and competition. A doctor will be onsite at the venue during competition times to provide medical treatment. Ice will be available at the competition venue for the treatment of injuries. DIVERS AND TEAM OFFICIALS SEATING Divers that are competing in the event taking place will only be allowed on poolside. An area on the pool deck will also be provided for divers and team officials. EVENT INFORMATION DESK The Sport Information Desk will be located at the athlete s entrance to the pool. This desk will be a primary information distribution point for competition information. ACCREDITATION, ACCREDITATION DESK The Accreditation Desk will be located in the Main Entrance of the Hamdan Sports Complex and will be open from 14th March 2016. Accreditation must be submitted online through the FINA GMS for all the participating National Federations. RULES The FINA/NVC Diving World Series will be conducted under FINA rules. JUDGES Scoring: For the individual competitions, scoring will be in accordance with FINA Diving Rules D7.5. For the synchronized competitions there shall be 9 judges, comprising 4 execution judges and 5 synchronization judges. The secretaries shall accept the execution awards and shall cancel the highest and lowest synchronization awards and shall then calculate the score in accordance with FINA Diving Rule D7.7.
PRIZE MONEY Each Event: The HMF/OC shall provide and pay prize money to a total of US$120 000 at each Event to be divided between all of the 10 individual and synchro events, as follows: 1 st place: US$5 000 2 nd place: US$4 000 3 rd place: US$3 000 Sub-Total Total x 10 events = US$12 000 US$120 000 Overall Prize Money: FINA shall pay the overall prize money of USD 870 000 to be divided between all of the 10 individual and synchro events, as follows: 1 st place: USD 30 000 2 nd place: USD 20 000 3 rd place USD 15 000 4 th place USD 10 000 5 th place USD 7 000 6 th place USD 5 000 Sub-Total USD 87 000 Total x 10 Events=USD 870 000 A diver participating in an Individual Event is entitled to the overall prize money only if he/she takes part in all the meets of the Series. If a diver for reason of illness or injury is forced to withdraw part way through an event, the athlete will be deemed participated and will still be eligible for the prize pot as long as they participate in the remaining legs. For synchronized events, overall prize money will be paid only if a national federation s team takes part in all the meets of the Series VISA INFORMATION Visa requirements for entering UAE vary for different nationalities and it is always advised to check regulations before travelling. Currently, every nationality entering the UAE needs a visa except citizens of GCC countries (Gulf Cooperation Council: Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar and Saudi Arabia), expatriate residents of the GCC (certain nationalities and professions) and citizens from countries mentioned in the chart below.

Visa assistance will be provided to those National Federations that have completed the registration process in the FINA GMS by the specified registration deadline. This includes the submission of all mandatory data such as photo and an electronic scan of each person s passport. TRANSPORTATION Transport will be provided free of charge between 14 th 20 th March 2016 for all divers and team support staff who submit their flight information no later than 1 st of March 2016. Official Event Airport is Dubai International Airport (DXB). Travel Information must be submitted online on the FINA GMS. Detailed transport schedules will be provided at the Delegation Registration Meeting and will also be available at the information desk at your hotel upon arrival. ACCOMMODATION AND MEALS Divers and Team Officials: The OC will provide accommodation in 4-star hotel with full board (3 meals per day of adequate quantity and quality) for all the qualified divers and, for 1 team leader/coach for each of the other DWS host countries for up to 6 days and 6 nights.
