Presentation & information. BMX Racing is an environmentally friendly and spectacular arena sport which is on the rise globally and also in Sweden. The sport is now part of the Olympic program and made an extraordinary debut in Beijing, China in 2008 and will be part of the Olympic Games in London in 2012. EDGE BMX Team was initiated by Janne and Jonas Franzén in time for the 2010 season. The team competes in BMX racing, both nationally and internationally. Through their company BMX Specialisten in Lerum, Sweden, the team is supported by the company BRG, which markets Chase BMX-frames and four other brands worldwide. Until 2012, the team name was Formula Team Sweden, but it is now changed to EDGE BMX Performance Team. The team has several partners on the market for bmx-products and through the company BMX Specialisten, several other partners have been associated with the team. The team do their best to represent and promote these partners, their brands and services. The team collaborates with a number of companies / individuals who help the riders in their development, including Dalblads Nutrition, Lerums Sports Centre, Aktivitus Test-Clinic, PSIM sports psychology. In 2012 the team will be represented in several of the major races in Sweden. They will also be represented on a number of Norwegian and Danish races. In addition to the Scandinavian countries, the major part of the team is attending several of the European Championships during the year and possibly also the World Championships in England. To all Nordic competitions, and to some international, the team will bring a van branded with company and product logos, and team info. During races and events a team tent will be set up to create a pit area" where the teamriders can relax and recharge between races. This creates another possibility to advertise and display partner presentations. Next to this area BMX Specialisten have the team van where products from the company and its business partners will be promoted. Here partner companies have the opportunity to display new products and be present in person to represent.
Physical coach: Responsible for the team's physical training programs and tests is Ola Kjellman. He is a PT on Lerums Sports Centre. Together with Jonas, he is responsible for the individual training programs. Endurance coach: Responsible for the team-riders endurance training is Mattias Lundqvist. He is the owner of the company, Aktivitus Test Clinic & Coaching. He tests the riders oxygen consumption, lactic acid thresholds, etc., and helps out with individual training advice. Nutrition: Martin Dalblad is supporting with dietary advice in general and for competition and training in particular. Martin runs the company Dalblads Nutrition, where they work with dietary supplements in a serious manner. He makes sure that the riders get enough of real food and other nutrients where needed. Team set-up är vi? The team is based in Lerum, just outside Gothenburg and consists of seven cyclists in different age Vilka groups from 16 years. They are all humble, well-behaved and take good care of themselves and their equipment. Contracts have been signed with the riders for 2012 and all must be dedicated to the sport, have clear goals, take care of training, nutrition and sleep, and report their training in a training diary. They will all be good representatives for all partners. The purpose of the age distribution is that most BMX-riders must be able to identify with the team's cyclists and be interested in the business. Younger people also have an opportunity to learn from the older ones and develop faster. The team is working with the aim to develop the riders towards an international career and the program for training, racing and tests are designed for the Swedish Cycling Federation's elite level requirements, and should give the riders the experience and the ability to cope with tests etc at future Olympic and national team selections. - ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Head coach: Janne Franzén. She helps the riders with the mental part, both in group but also individually with each rider.

The largest cost impact for the team s activities are the riders training costs, entry fees, travel and accommodation associated with training camps and competitions. If your company has the opportunity, in collaboration with BMX Specialisten, to support the team in various ways, such as for example contribution to entry fees, travel and marketing expenses for the team's van, pit tents and promotional materials, we can probably agree on a convenient way to implement it. The team is run in close cooperation with the company, BMX Specialisten in Lerum HB. The company is VAT registered, and registered for F-tax. Therefore, any collaboration can take place in the business arena.
The team s goals! The team s short-term goals! Increase interest for the team and its partners products and services. Help the team member bikers to develop their physical and technical capacity towards national and international success. Increase interest in BMX Racing Sport and bicycle sport overall. How will we acheive the objectives? Through our partners, we already have help and support with training and scheduled tests to gradually develop the riders physical capabilities. Through further cooperation, we have help with nutrition and supplements. An additional partner has joined this year to help out with the mental training. A cooperation with Elite Sport Center West has started were they will assist us with evaluation and testing of riders movement patterns, strength, fitness etc. This is available on a brand new test center in Gothenburgh. The team s long-term goal! The overall long-term goal is to enable a professional focus and develop the team-riders capabilities to an international level that allows for the nomination of one or more Swedish candidates for theolympic Games in 2016. Increase interest for BMX RACING Through this BMX-Team s success be role models for children and youth and inspire them to pursuit a meaningful leisure activity. True Champion or Cheat is a training program for cyclists and support staff. This includes the new World Anti-Doping Code. All teamriders and team-leaders have completed the training-program.

TEAM-SHIRT 2012 This shirt is based on a design from UFO's model, Pulse 2012, but opportunities exist to design a shirt from scratch. Before the shirt is printed, all involved partners need to agree on the design. A major sponsor has the option to name the team and dominate the design.
