SCOL Merchandise for Sale POLE FLAGS, NECK WALLETS, HATS and MORE See this guy for all of your SCOL Merchandise SCOL has a supply of merchandise for sale, courtesy of Keith Wallace. He brings the items to each monthly meeting and would be happy to have you own some! Pole flags are a good PR product for us to create some fun conversations with potential members out on the hills. He has neck wallets that are a convenient way to protect and carry $, ID, sun block, lip gloss, or whatever! And baseball hats are good for bad hair days. The club makes a tiny profit and you pay no tax or shipping! Flags are just $7 each, or 2 for $12. Neck wallets are $10 and hats are $20. Keith also has arranged with a local embroiderer to have our SCOL logo applied to your personal attire. Bring your items to a meeting. He ll get it delivered to be professionally done and back to you. So, bring your fleece, your base layers, t-shirts, whatever. Cost varies but is quite reasonable. See Keith at a meeting or call him for details. SCOL WEEKDAY SKIERS The first week of January finally saw enough snow at Holiday Valley to get the SCOL Weekday skiers back on the slopes. We had a fun group of 12 to 15 SCOLers on Wednesday and Thursday and beautiful sunny skies both days. Lunch brought everyone to the Yodeler Picnic room at 12:30pm, then we hit the slopes again until about 3:00pm. We finish the day with some fun après ski time back in the Picnic room. It's BYO wine, beer & apps. A great way to finish the day with SCOL friends and lots of laughs! The group ski is really a fun way to ski or you can head off on your own. We have an email distribution list to contact anyone interested skiing at HV during the week. The Weekday Ski announcement for the upcoming week usually go out on Sunday. By using the Reply All response tab everyone knows who plans to ski and on what days. It helps set up carpool options too. If you'd like your name added to the list just email Linda O'Donnell at lindaod245@aol.com and you'll be in the loop right away. Ski ya out there. 6
