ARTWORK REQUIREMENTS VECTOR BITMAP LOGOS Our graphics department works on the Apple Macintosh OS X platform For best results with your custom clothing, we strongly recommend logos and files to be in Vector format The following file types are preferred: Adobe Illustrator AI files Encapsulated Post Script EPS files High resolution (over 300 dpi) PDF files Why Vector file and what is it? Vector file is created in a vector-based software program such as Adobe Illustrator or Macromedia Freehand It is based on points and lines created from mathematical equations and can be easily edited or scaled with the click of a mouse Vector artwork typically has EPS, AI, or PDF file extensions The side pictures show the difference between a vector logo and a bitmap logo (BMP, JPEG, JPG, GIF file extensions) When the vector logo is resized and manipulated it stays crisp and clean When the bitmap logo is enlarged, it becomes distorted and pixelated, making this file type unsuitable for use Customers are solely responsible for obtaining proper permission for the use of all logos before submitting them Logos must be submitted with all brand identity requirements COLORS Colors should reference the Pantone Matching System Generally, PMS colors can vary depending on the fabric used, inks used, and method of printing At Ftech we use the latest, state of the art digital sublimation technology, with the finest quality inks and fabrics, however the same PMS or CMYK color may vary slightly in appearance across different types of fabrics due to their individual properties (ie weight, density, thread count, texture, etc ) If you are not 100% certain about the colors we can provide you with a sample fabric swatch FONTS Make sure to convert all your text to outlines in Illustrator or include your font files, otherwise your fonts may be automatically converted to something you don t like or want Files can be accepted via e-mail at info@ftechit or on cd
