There were several internment camps that included Jews, Roma and Sinti (nomades) and resistance fighters: Camp of La Forge (Moison la Rivière), Camp de la Salinière in the town of la Baule Pouliguen. The Camp de Choisel in the town of Châteaubriant was the site of a massacre of hostages in reprisal for the assassination of the German Feldkommandant Hotz.
