Tambourine June Fest AVA recognized Competition Saturday June 23, 2018 (Competition at the Walk and Trot) through Sunday June 24, 2018 (Competition at the Canter) Judge, Jennifer Williams (AVA r) GENERAL FORMAT: All classes will follow the most current published online version of the AVA Rule Book All clubs, vaulters, coaches and loungers must be registered Clubs and Individuals of the AVA in good standing as of the close of entries, or must pay a non-member fee as provided in the AVA Standing Rules. MUSIC: Music with words may be used for all Classes/Divisions, but is not required. Please make sure to check that all lyrics are appropriate for a public youth event. A score of 0 will be given for the content score for the freestyle if inappropriate words are used. To Upload o Upload no later than June 9, 2018 o Create an account at www.box.com o Select a Personal Account - Free for 10gb of secured storage o Create a folder with your Club Name and Event - i.e. ABQVVaulters_TBF2018 o Share the Folder with : Lystra Hobby at tambourinevaulter@gmail.com o ONLY MP3 FILE FORMATS are allowed Music uploaded after June 9, 2018 and before June 21, 2018 will incur a $10 per track penalty fee. Music files uploaded at www.box.com after June 21, 2018 will not be processed or played. Music may be submitted on the day of the fest on a thumb drive at check in and will incur a $50 processing fee plus a $10 per track fee. No music will be accepted at the music table during the competition. DO NOT bring or pick up thumb drives DURING competition times. Thumb drives if you wish to retrieve them, may only be picked up after close of daily competition. Staff is not responsible for music left behind after competition. If no music is provided, none will be played. The arena is a covered 100 X 130 X 20 sand arena with shavings mixture. Ceiling Height exceeds 20. There will be a warm up area and a competition arena. You will need to bring your own chairs to set up outside the arena as well as shade structures for your team sites. The time and draw for the order of go will be done by online computer access on May 28, 2018 at 8:00pm; with the place of record being Tambourine Farm, 1 Liberty Rd., Petaluma Ca. 94952. A preliminary order of go will be posted on CompWeb and e-mailed out to coaches by approximately May 28, 2018 The Competition Classes may run up to half an hour early We will be going in the order of the schedule but may end up moving vaulters ahead of scheduled time based on the actual time the preceding classes in a ring are completed. A class may be moved up to 30 minutes before the listed time.

Horses must be kept tied to trailers and be cleaned up afterward before leaving There are several chain hotels in the area such as Best Western, Motel 6, Sheraton, Quality Inn as well as a KOA right around the corner. Limited food will be available via a food both run by Tambourine Vaulters RELEASE FORMS - FEE PAYMENT: Release forms and payment of all entry fees must be Postmarked and mailed to Fest Manager, Kelley Holly at 1 Liberty Road, Petaluma CA, 94952 no later than May, 2018 A $5.00 late fee will be assessed each vaulter for late receipt of entry forms and/or fee payment. A $10.00 late fees will be assessed each Medal Test application received by the medal test secretary after May 24 th. No Post Entries or Late Entries allowed. Each vaulter, coach, or spotter that will be entering the arena must have both release forms completed and signed before the start of their first class. AWARDS/RIBBONS: Ribbons will be awarded for each regular division class placing 1 st through 5 th place. A Participation Ribbon will be awarded each Participant in a California Gold Class. No overall ribbons will be given. There will be no Award Ceremony. Ribbons and score sheets will be available to coaches as soon as possible after the conclusion of each class. **Upon request, Tambourine will mail each club its ribbons and score sheets after the conclusion of the Fest for a $5.00 prepaid mailing fee. Coaches must make this request and provide fee payment no later than check-in the day of the Fest. Remainder of class run similar to preliminary trot article 1303 remember the dismount rule will apply 5. Preliminary Trot Team compulsories, assisted mounts allowed but will receive a zero score for the mount score 6. Preliminary Trot Team Open to vaulters who do not hold a trot or canter medal. Preliminary Canter Team Open to vaulters who do not hold a canter medal Vintage Vaulters Open to vaulters 18 years of age and over not competing in other individual classes. Vaulter chooses the gait. Assisted mounts allowed but given a score of zero for mount score in compulsories Freestyle assisted mounts allowed but a 2 point penalty from content will be taken Walk-Trot-Canter, All Around Assisted mounts required for the walk. Mount is unscored. CALIFORNIA GOLD: ENTRIES: California Gold is an anything goes class, vaulter needs to state on the entry form what you would like the judge to be commenting on and how many will be vaulting together if it is not an individual.
