To: From: EUROPEAN FEDERATIONS PRESIDENTE DO CERH Date: 26 th of February 2014 Subject: LATIN CUP NEW DATE, CALENDAR AND OTHER USEFUL INFORMATION Dear Sirs: According to the request received from the Federation of Portugal, organizer of this competition, CERH has agreed to introduce a small change in the dates scheduled for this competition, after having obtained the approval of the other participant Federations (Spain, France and Italy), to whom the CERH wants to express his gratitude for the collaboration provided in the amendment in question. Consequently, we are now disseminating all the relevant information regarding the organization of the 2014 Latin Cup, starting with highlighting the most important financial issues associated with it, in particular: 1. FINANCIAL ORGANIZATION OF LATIN CUP 1.1 COSTS SUPPORTED BY THE ORGANIZING FEDERATION a) Payment to CERH of the organization fee amounting to 3,000 00 b) Payment of meals and accomodation (in 3 star hotel or higher) to a maximum of 15 people (5 double rooms for the players + 5 single rooms), members of the official delegation of each National Federation (the organizing federation will pay the meals and lodging in the period that includes the dinner on the day before the start of the competition untill the breakfast in the following day of the end of the competition) c) Payment of meals and accomodation to the members of CERH and to the Referees appointed for the competition ; d) Transportation (round trip) of the official delegation of each team (as well as the Referees appointed to the competition) from the nearest airport to the hotel of stay, as well as between this hotel and the location of the rink; e) Payment to each of the designated Referees of a global subsidy of 65.00, which is increased by 50.00 for each game in which they participate (either as principal Referee, either as Assistant Referee ) f) To make available a car with 4 seats to the CERH members, during the competition Page 1 of 12 Página 1 de 12
1.2 COSTS SUPPORTED FOR EACH PARTICIPANT FEDERATION a) Organization and payment of the travel of its delegation - as well of the Referee of the same country that is designated for this competition by CERH / CIA - bearing in mind that everyone will have to arrive to the assigned hotel in the day before the starting day of the competition; b) Payment of meals and accomodation for all the members of its delegation that exceed the maximum number of15 people, as well as the payment of all the extra costs that are charged by the hotel to the elements of its entourage. 2. INFORMATION REQUESTED FROM THE PARTICIPANT FEDERATIONS CERH and the organizing Federation need to get from all the participating Federations - as soon as possible - the following information: 2.1 Timetable of the flights of arrival and departure and the respective airport, in what concerns its official Delegation and the Referee of its country that will be designated for the competition, in order to allow the organizing Federation to organize their transportation. 2.2 Required menus for the players and the other representatives, so they can be properly organized meals in restaurants using. If that is the case, the required menus must be sent to Mr. Ricardo Araújo, who is the Secretary of the Portuguese Federation, through the following e-mail: ricardo.araujo@fpp.pt 2.3 Information about the "room list" of all the representaives who will occupy the 10 double rooms and 5 single rooms that will be borne by the organizing Federation. 2.4 Information on any additional accommodation needs, if it is necessary to ensure more rooms - payable by the Federation concerned - beyond the 15 rooms that will be borne by the organizing Federation. 2.5 Submission of the registration list of all the team representatives of each participant Federation (players, delegates, technical staff and other representatives), whose form is available on the section " EUROPEAN NATIONS CHAMPIONSHIPS " of the CERH website, whose address is: www.cerh.eu 3. LOCAL AND CHARACTERISTICS OF THE RINK FOR THE MATCHES The Latin Cup 2014 will be held in Portugal, at the Pavilhão Municipal e Desportivo de Monserrate, located on Avenida do Atlântico, in the city of Viana do Castelo. The main features of the sports venue are as follows: Dimensions of the track: 40 meters long 20 meters wide Rink floor: wood Capacity: 1900 seats Supporting facilities: 4 changing rooms for teams, 2 changing rooms for the Referees and a Medical Post Page 2 of 12 Página 2 de 12
4. ORGANIZING INSTITUTIONS Under the supervision of CERH - Comité Européen de Rink -Hockey, the organization of the 2014 Latin Cup is the responsibility of FPP - Federação de Patinagem de Portugal, in cooperation with the following local authorities and institutions : The Municipality of Viana do Castelo Minho Roller Skating Association Juventude de Viana, a rink-hockey club 5. DATES, REGULATORY FRAMEWORK AND COMPETITION MODEL During the Easter week, the 2014 Latin Cup will be held between Thursday, the 17 th. of April, and Saturday, the 19 th. of April. The Latin Cup is a CERH official competition, being held in accordance with the Official Rules of the Game, under the sporting direction of CERH and subjected to the CERS regulations, in particular in what concerns its compliance with the disciplinary provisions that are in force. The competition will be disputed under the model of a championship (all against all), played with one back, according to the following points score : Win: 3 points Draw : 1 point Loss : 0 points 6. CALENDAR OF THE EVENT 6.1 TRAINING FOR ADAPTATION TO THE RINK The practice of adapting to the rink surface, to be performed by each of the participating national team, will take place during the morming of Thursday, the 17 th. of April, according to the following schedule planning: Page 3 of 12 Página 3 de 12
6.2 CONTROL OF THE INSCRIPTION FORM OF ALL TEAM REPRESENTATIVES The CERH wiil ensure the monitoring and identification of all the team representatives on Thursday, the 17 th. of April, during the practice for adaptation to the rink surface. 6.3 SCHEDULE OF THE MATCHES The timing of the official ceremonies and the schedule of the matches is the following one: 6.4 FPP / CERH SEMINAR PROGRAM On Saturday, the 19 th. of April, the Portuguese Federation will organize in Viana de Castelo (*), together with CERH, a seminar that focuses on the problem of the coaching of Rink-Hockey hockey, with a particular focus on the training of the young players. Consequently, we are inviting all the participating delegations to attend this seminar, whose full "program" is explained in the following table.. 7. OTHER USEFUL INFORMATION 7.1 CLOSEST AIRPORTS OF THE PLACE OF THE COMPETITION The Portuguese Federation will organize the transport of the participating teams to Viana do Castelo from any one of the two following Airports: a) OPORTO AIRPORT, which is about 70 km away; b) VIGO AIRPORT, which is about 90 km away. 7.2 MEALS The meals of all the delegations of the participating Federations will be made at local restaurants.
