MILWAUKEE NOV. 23 A total team effort which included 14 kills by Jessica Dood, 43 assists by Ciara Schultz and 11 kills with three blocks by Sammy Condon powered Oakland to a four-set win over Milwaukee Nov. 23 to win the 2014 Horizon League Volleyball Championship. With the win the Golden Grizzlies advance to their first-ever NCAA Volleyball Tournament in program history. 11 FOR 11 Redshirt freshman Sammy Condon found her groove at the right time, hitting a.302 hitting percentage over the team s two Horizon League Tournament victories on her way to being named the tournament MVP. Humm also was one of less than a dozen applicants selected for the Manufacturing Leadership and Development Program (MLDP) out of over 600 applicants. In Oakland s win over Wright State Oct. 31, Deatsch blistered the Raiders for five aces. Oakland is 13-6 when she records a service ace.
